Coolest Summer since 2015

The UK provisionally, has had its coolest Summer since 2015, going against the general trend of getting warmer by the year.

Is this a blip or could we see more cooler summers in the years ahead?

When it's been warm, records have been broken and those really hot days we had - it made it hard for me to adjust to them. They were way too hot, but it's been okay. A little too much rain for me.

it would have been nice to have a few more days where it felt like summer, not boiling hot but warm enough. with nice wind, but the thing about the uk is the weather is never going to be kind to us. ????

The UK might have got lucky with the jet-streams this year but weather in mainland Europe was far from cool. I was in Malaga over the summer and that was ridiculously hot, it was 40° one day and I'm pretty sure it didn’t drop below 30° for the period I was there.

I think the big picture is that 2024 is on track to be the hottest on record, again… So not good.
