Nottinghamshire visit Essex for game 12 of the County Championship Division 1.

Essex reached 457? That seems like a very respectable score to have.

That said, I don't know what games are usually won by but from the limited knowledge I do have. It does seem a comfortable amount to have in a cricket game.

@Chris it is a good score & if the weather holds Notts will have to bat well to avoid defeat in this one 

Notts are in a transitional stage I would say at the moment. Stuart Broad retired & he has definitely been missed this season.

Notts have also lost bowler Stone to England duty & also Ben Duckett, their opening batter..

Notts have some players playing from the second eleven for this match too, so the team is a little weakened due to absences & injuries.

It's important Notts avoid defeat as they are third from bottom & the bottom two get relegated to division 2.

Same old same old....Notts all out...monumental collapse today...started at 26/1....all out 98/10 unbelievable Jeff

Third days Play between Essex & Notts.

Notts resumed on 37/1 in reply to Essex's 457 all out 

Lunch on the third day.

Notts have a monumental collapse this morning. Notts lost 9 wickets for 57 runs & we're bowled out for 93.

Following on Notts are 1 for 0 in their second innings, still 365 runs behind.

A spirited Notts fightback in their second innings this afternoon at Chelmsford.

Notts have finished another rain affected day on 180 for 2 still trailing Essex by 184.

Skipper Hameed as made a gritty 100 n/o & Clarke is on 62.

Hameed as passed 1000 runs for the season.

Notts resume on 180/2 still trailing by 184.

Notts have lost the match during the morning session. They were bowled out for 281, so have lost by an innings & 83 runs.
