Stuart has chosen his team to play Bromley. Palmer gate his first start as Captain.

Just the one striker as I thought & four midfielders start the game.

What is with our start? Two very early goals, it's quite disappointing, but we can get back into this and something of it.

The pitch looks very dry, they have an advantage with the conditions and size. It could be quite a free scoring game, if both teams continue as they are right now.

@TheSkipper Mark Stallard keeps mentioning the pitch, though he's trying not to go on about it (his words) - it does sound like the pitch is an advantage for them. It sounds like we are sussing it out, but we are getting chances. Conor Grant headed the ball over, just need to keep pushing for that leveller and go on from there.

It was a different game to come back into. Bromley deserves credit for pulling off that start. The pitch was almost their advantage until we managed to show our quality. It makes you appreciate the beautiful football we play. Once Jodi scored his penalty, we looked eager to get back into it.

Reading the updates of the match it would seem early on that Notts had slipped back into their ways of the latter half of last season, letting in two very Sloppy goals. However to come back to win by two clear goals after being those two goals down, shows the Grit Determination Fighting Spirit and Class of players Notts have in their squad. It's been a Good start to the Season for the Magpies, lets keep it up Guys. It is after all a Marathon and Not a Sprint, till the end of the Season. Winning Breeds Winners and that Attitude is in full flow  at the Lane there are going to be many ups and downs, highs and lows as the season progresses keep the Faith and Believing and the Magpies should be in for a Good Season. Lets hope so. C.O.Y.P.

We’ll 2-0 down after 6 minutes, I thought “here we go” but Notts fought back and showed true class to win 4-2, that’s a great result and we are top of the league but as Stall points out it means nothing yet.

However full credit to Maynard and the team I’m so pleased for them.

Altogether now:

“WE’RE NOTTS COUNTY WE’RE TOP OF THE LEAGUE” :cheerleader::clapping::excited:

This team oozes character with a capital C. A lot of teams would fold after a disastrous start, but this team has character, grit and fight to get back into the game, then go on to win it

Lessons will be learned too. Stuart may have been better keeping with the same formation at the back, & I think it works better for Notts for JATTA to start the game

A win is a win, & Notts march on still undefeated.

PS, I hope Grant is not injured that he will miss some matches. He does a good job for Notts.

I still say like a did last season. If in doubt, kick it out

Notts had to adapt to the smaller pitch and its condition. It wasn’t bad, just dry. I think Bromley tried to make it tough for Notts, so credit to them for that. The comeback was even more impressive. Jodi Jones is pure class, but the whole team showed real fight! A very important win, in my opinion.
