Morning all, it’s Friday, the weekend starts here. It’s a bit warmer than yesterday morning with a temperature of 3.5 degrees.

I’m trying to stay off alcohol until Christmas, I drank far too much on recent holidays which isn’t good for my weight or my health, this weekend will be hard, it’s curry night tonight and I usually have a pint of beer before and a couple of glasses of wine with the curry, tonight it’ll be “God’s Ale” i.e. water, wish me luck.

I could get some non alcohol beer but I’ve tried that before and not only does it taste awful it’s got just as many calories as real beer so doesn’t help the weight problem.

Anyway, that’s all from me, how’s everyone else doing?

Good afternoon. Not a bad day here but cold outside.

We've been busy this morning getting out the two Xmas trees, which we always do a day after Thanksgiving.

We used to dress them both today, but we will do it over a few days now.

We bought a smaller tree for the living room this year as the old one went to the ceiling & was quite large.

I stayed on at work for six months @Fan of Big Tone & was planning to do at least an extra year, however the long hours were getting too much, so I called it a day.

I'd only been with the company just seven years but I was presented with a nice watch on my last day when I got back to the depot.

Still miss work sometimes but not the early rises.

@Robbie I couldn’t wait to get away from work when they asked for volunteers for redundancy I stuck my hand straight up. I had a few years to go before pension age and started working with my wife until our son died then we both retired. I love retirement.

I started the day very brightly, and sorted things out ahead of time. Though, in the back of my mind I kept having the urge to go see @super_ram. He has a folding bed which a bolt broke, that prevented him from folding it out.

I'm pleased that it's now fixed, I went over with @super_pie and, we sorted the problem very quickly.

It was nice to spend a bit of time with him, whilst we fixed the chair/folding bed. When I came home, I were greeted with a very Christmas looking house. Which is nice, I have a tendency of feeling like the grinch since @GrannyPie parted (with Christmas day being her birthday). Yet, it's nice seeing the house dressed up for Christmas (we do for Halloween). I might at times slip into being the Grinch, but I am looking forward to it.

We purchased two reefs to put down on her/my grandparents/aunts grave and one for Chloe. ❤️

I got back from my UK visit on Wednesday. Normally I'd try to get to Meadow Lane when a home game is on, but this time there was a lot of family stuff to take care of (and not the good kind). On the plus side, I returned with a suitcase rammed full of Tunnock's tea cakes, Yorkshire tea, Stilton...

The Christmas markets have opened here now and I'm hoping to visit my first this weekend. Darmstadt doesn't have the most thrilling market, but it gets the job done. I'll post a pic when I can :)

Good morning, it’s a lot milder this morning at 10 degrees, which is perfect because I’m going for my park run shortly and I don’t want to run on ice!

After park run I’ll have a relaxing day recovering and listening to Notts on the radio, let’s hope we can get through to round three. Safe travels to anyone going to Peterborough.

COME ON YOU PIES!

Good morning. It's a dreary damp morning here, but it is very mild.

We've dressed our Xmas tree in our living room this morning. It is a smaller tree (6ft tall) than we have had for the last ten years but it looks good.

We are now dressing a small tree we always put in our bedroom. Can't believe we are in December, how the year has flown once again.

Morning @Robbie morning everyone, it’s raining here too and very dismal.

We won’t be putting our tree up just yet to be honest we probably wouldn’t bother if the family weren’t coming to stay, we only have one tree in the lounge, I couldn’t cope with one in the bedroom.

This morning we’ve been preparing our loft bedroom ready for the carpet fitters who are coming tomorrow, I’m hoping the weather will cheer up this afternoon so we can have a walk without getting wet through.

Have a great Sunday everyone whatever you are doing.
