This is a great opportunity for the Notts Academy players to take on the Academy players of a Premier League side in the FA Youth Cup 3rd Round.

I'm sure that our young players are looked forward to the challenge & it is a great opportunity for them to cause a big upset too.

I do hope that there will be a decent crowd to cheer our young players on. They've done so well to get to this stage of the competition.

I've taken the updates from the Fulham Academy website.

Half time.

Notts 0 Fulham 2

Two early goals from Fulham, however, the Notts youngsters have kept the score sheet clean since then.

A bad injury to the Notts skipper Zac Denman has overshadowed the first half.

Always going to be tough against a Premier League Academy side, a good test for our young players and just getting to the 3rd Round was a good achievement.

Just hoping all is okay with Zac Denman, sounds like a bad injury. I'm hoping well get some sort of update soon and that it's as good a news as is possible.

Agreed, there's no shame, and it was nice to see photos on my personal Facebook account of fans in attendance. Unfortunately, I wasn't there but will make sure to give my support to the youth team in the future. Fulham's calibre was always going to be difficult to play against, but very proud of our lads for being drawn against them.

Hard luck to the youth team. A 0-4 defeat might feel disappointing for them, but no doubt they will have earned praise from many fans who have been watching them regularly. Some of them might be the future of the club, so that will be their focus now. They should know we are proud of them for just drawing an academy like Fulham's.
