Emergency siren alert on phone

Did anyone get the alert? A loud siren alert to warn of serious weather conditions. Millions in the west of the country received and our son and daughter in law got it, they live a couple of mile down the road from us but we didn’t get it. Weird.

We didn't get an alert here although we do have an amber alert in place.

I suppose the alarm is for a red alert, but that only applies to Wales at the moment.

No, I don’t have it turned on because I find it unappealing to have notifications buzzing on my phone to convey information that I could just read or view myself.I am sure some people will find it useful, but I am mindful of the panic such alerts could cause.

I don’t know why our son got it, they must think he’s in Wales. :huh2:
