roll on when football does become regulated with the finances and teams have to start taking into account what is spent more carefully, i would hope it leads fans to be more appreciative of the club when it does well and show better support when times are tougher.

This isn't good news.

"The UK government is considering paring back the powers of its planned football regulator as part of a wider clamp-down on bureaucracy".

"Prime MinisterΒ Keir Starmer’s office is reviewing the proposals to ensure they don’t stifle the growth of the Premier League and disincentivize overseas investment in Britain’s biggest football clubs, according to people familiar with the matter. The regulator is unlikely to be scrapped but could be watered down through further amendments to legislation that is currently being finalized, they said".

If the powers of the Regulator are cut it would be a big blow to football in this Country as far as I'm concerned.
