Game 28 - The Ravens (H)

Team: Bromley FC

Date: 25/01/2025

Where: Meadow Lane

What line-up should Stuart Maynard opt for? What will be the key areas for the Magpies to get a victory? What do you think the final score will be?

it seems like awhile since we have been at meadow lane, bromley can make games difficult but i hope our momentum is enough to continue seeing the positive results. tho i do think its quite possible we might end up drawing this game.

This game is a must-win, surely. The points up for grabs could keep the hope alive that the club can finish in the automatic places. Now is the crucial point where stability and form are paramount to any promotion push.

Also, we have several influential players in great form, so it should be a good game. I don't dismiss Bromley, but with us being at Meadow Lane, I have a lot more belief that we can perform well enough to get the needed result.

Will be interesting to see the team that Stuart will pick for the game against Bromley.

I wouldn't make any changes from the Accrington win. Keeping a winning side has to be a good thing, but I would prefer Jodi starting instead of Grant.

My team would be.

Bass, McDonald, Platt, Bedeau Austin, Abbott, Palmer, Tsaroulla, Jones, McGoldrick, Jatta.

Subs, Grant, Slocombe, Johnson, Whitaker, Jarvis, Hinchy, Cisse

I would still contemplate putting Jodi in the number 10 role, & the three new players would still be on the bench.

It's important to have a very strong team & bench.

Bromley are very good at set plays, we need to be strong in defence, I don’t think it will be an easy game by any means, it’ll either be a draw or a narrow win for either team, I hope it’s Notts.

COME ON YOU PIES!

That game at Bromley in September was incredible. 2 down after 6 minutes and Notts end up winning 4-2. Bromley are doing well in their first season in League 2. A mid table finish is likely.

You'd expect a home win and I think it will be a home win.

The Notts team to face Bromley.

Palmer not playing. That's a blow. Jodi starts for Notts.

GOOOOOAAAAAL JONES

McGoldrick is fouled. PENALTY.

Jodi scores from the spot.

Notts are held to a draw today.

Mark Stallard: "That feels a bit disappointing from Notts who controlled the game"

I think I called it right, I’d have rather been completely wrong and we’d hammered them but it is what it is, we need 3 points on Tuesday.

Up to date League two after today's matches.

Notts hasn't lost any ground. Still in sixth place

How frustrating. I thought we played some really nice football in the first half in particular. It was a thoroughly enjoyable watch until I remembered we weren't winning!

Mark Stallard was spot on though, there wasn't quite enough end product and we didn't finish Bromley off when we had the chance. Two points dropped.

On a different note, while I hope Palmer is back very soon, I think Hinchey did a very good job of filling in for him and very nearly had an assist to his name.
