Stuart Kettlewell resigns as Motherwell manager citing the personal abuse he had received during a recent downturn in results.

 

This is a sad story. Kettlewell had done a good job for Motherwell & just a small run of poor results resulted in him leaving due to the personal abuse he was getting.

It's a sad indictment of the modern game & the growth and power of social media, that sadly, this won't be the only time this type of instance will occur.

would it not be productive for awareness to include what abuse he was getting, am i being blind that both linked articles dont actually provide any references. it is very sad but i just think if you are going to go on public record, both stuart kettlewell and the club could address the issue directly by revealing the actual abuse. otherwise it could be that fans were just unhappy with the results and i am sure some went too far, that is not acceptable but imagine what it was like for jamie fullerton when he was here?

i did not like him but there was a large amount of unacceptable abuse, i remember reading a fan saying he would hang him if he did not leave on facebook. 🤬
