Not the best performance from Notts tonight. They never really got going.

My pick of the players on the field tonight were, Alex Bass, Jack Hinchy, George Abbott & Alassana Jatta.

I think it had to be a moment of pure quality that would make all the difference in a match like that tonight, & it came from a magnificent cross from Abbott & a great header from Jatta who found the corner of the Salford net.

For this moment of quality, & his overall performance, my Man of the Match goes to George Abbott.

Yeah, Abbott was the best player on the pitch for me. His energy was vital and he somehow carried our attack despite playing as a 6 for the majority of the match. Hinchy was decent again, just needs to be a bit quicker on the ball at times but his general defensive work was solid.

I agree that Abbott was the best player, it was a great cross for Jattas goal.

I think the standout performances are few and far between the usual candidates that we normally see. I thought we needed to dig deep at times to achieve the win and not conceding is a very positive outcome against a poor Carlisle United. Nick Tsaroulla and Jodi Jones did acceptably well, but I don't think anyone quite reached the levels of George Abbott's performance.

I think the sponsors are finally paying attention to the game, instead of which player they wish to meet after games. Well done George Abbott, I hope he wins Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match too.

I think Alex Bass was solid for us in goal, even though Carlisle United didn't look much good as a threat to score. David McGoldrick pushed himself and I think he ran his heart out in his efforts to help secure the win. But it's George Abbott who deserves the Man of the Match vote, at least from me.

george abbott gets my vote! i dont care if we won ugly, fans always say they would rather win but some just moan regardless. it irritates me because a win is a win, if we played well and lost the same fans would be complaining. 🤷‍♂️

George Abbott really ran away with this one, I wasn't at the game and I haven't seen the highlights yet. I do re-watch the full games, even those to which I have seen live. So, I am looking forward to seeing Abbott's magic and Jatta's goal.
