Bring back Pukka Pies to The San Sirrel!

Featured Replies

The club is losing money due to the dire food quality in the stands. One area you would think would have improved is the standard of the tea bars and the warm food they offer.Β @Fan of Big Tone The pies are tasteless, with the worst pastry I have ever had. The hotdogs are rubbery and awful, while the burgers taste like reheated rubbish. The only thing I will eat is the overpriced chips, and that's only if necessary. The options within The Nest are superb, but the stands are still lacklustre, and I don't care for buying doughnuts.

You would have thought it would be something the club's SLO would be able to help with. But it seems if you don't use social media and you don't know how to make contact, the chances of any petition would equally go unnoticed by the club.

Pukka Pies are widely accepted by football clubs. It's great that Notts wants to try to support a local company, but if they were any good, fans wouldn't be wanting to return to Pukka. I suggest Notts should look at other suppliers if they wish to save on expenses involved with Pukka Pies.

This is a true story.

I attended an event many years ago, around 2013, where I was asked to take photographs of the event. As part of the event, I had a ticket which I purchased with my own money, but I hadn't ordered food. My plan was to eat something afterward, but I misjudged how long I would be there and by the time the food was coming out to tables, I felt starving. I was kindly offered pie and chips, for which I thanked the person. (could be nice) πŸ˜‚ To be honest, I felt very thankful, but I did reject the pie, as I was never a fan of it. I had intended to enjoy some chips.

However, on my plate was a Pukka Pie and gravy. No chips. πŸ˜‚

Feeling hungry, I started to carefully eat the pie crust. I am quite a fussy eater, but I enjoyed it. About 40% into the pie, a waitress brought me some chips. I don't expect anyone to be kind, or to go out of their way for me, but I very much appreciated this. Yes, supplying photographs and my time, if paid as a photographer would be more than the price of the food, but I have never cared about that. It's an experience for me, and I left in admiration of Pukka Pies.

Guerrillero "Pineapple on Pizza" Heroico, will join the fight to get Pukka Pies back to San Sirrel.

I try to avoid pies as much as I can they are very fattening and I need to lose weight not gain it. However on the odd occasion I’ve tried a pukka pie I have to admit they are nice.
