"The club posted an operating profit of £48.8m, having lost £16m the previous year, though that figure has already been spent on ground improvements at Kenilworth Road, upgrades to the training ground and new club office space."

I noticed while reading the article that the club's turnover increased from £18.4m to £132.3m thanks to their return to the top flight after more than 30 years away, but operating costs also jumped from £39.5m to nearly £85 m as a result of winning the Championship play-off final against Coventry City.

The Premier League is certainly a different Football World when it comes to financing a Club.

I assume that the increase in turnover was due to primarily an increase in players wages. And what happened to the parachute payment this season?

Luton look as though they may be relegated this season from the Championship so the parachute payment looks like it hasn't given Luton an advantage.

It's hard to believe that it is possible that Notts could be playing them next season.
