The first day of Nottinghamshire's County Championship season is always an exciting time especially when there is plenty of Sun around to lift the mood.

I think both teams will be happy how things turned out at close of play. Durham posted a decent score & Notts took plenty of wickets.

Notts's new Australian signing O'Neil took 4 wickets on his debut & there were 2 wickets a piece for Tongue & Ahmed. Ackermann scored a Century for the visitors.

Notts will be looking to take the final  Durham wicket very quickly tomorrow morning, then look to bat well to match or even better the Durham score.
