Good morning it’s a bright start to the new week.

We've got to find a birthday present for a friends 60th birthday but we haven’t got a clue what to buy so we are heading to the shops for inspiration later.

We had a nice evening with the grandchildren last night Fred was showing us how well he’s getting on with his guitar playing and he played us the opening of White Stripes “Seven Nation Army” which is of course the tune that Notts fans sing “we’re the black and white army” to.

It's another fantastic start to the day today. Where has all this sun come from? Not complaining. Just soaking it all up. I'm actually getting a tan using my factor 50.

Been for another walk, 8000 steps today. Feeling much fitter since I've uped the milage once again.

Morning all, yes the weather is like Groundhog Day at moment, wall to wall sunshine every day, I’m not complaining either @Robbie.

Today I’ve got to take the car for a service, I always use the main dealer as I have a service plan which I pay monthly so I won’t have to fork out any money today as long as they don’t find any problems.

Another lovely Sunny day here Mansfield. It was a little chilly this morning but is warm in the Sun. Just sitting out in the garden with the Mrs. Watered the plants this morning then completed our 10,000 steps before lunch.

Looks like we've got this lovely Weather till Sunday night. Showers forecast for Monday.

Good morning, it’s a cloudy start here for a change.

Today we are having lunch with a group of friends the menu promises a “whale” fish and chips, bang goes the diet.  I’ll probably regret it tomorrow but I can never resist fish and chips.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Good Morning. It's a sunny morning here & I think it's going to be warmer today too.

Out in the garden cutting the lawn & edges, plus doing some hoeing around the lawn.

Mrs Bee came out of her hole to investigate.. We had just finished anyway so no head bopping from her this morning. Seems she's happy enough with what she saw.

Time to put my feet up for an hour & check out social media.

Really nice to meet up with old friends that we haven’t seen since we sold our Motorhome, nice meal in a pub in Cotgrave, the fish was indeed enormous, I won’t need much tea tonight. 🫃

I went to my local shop this morning and incorporated the walk with a visit to the Medical centre to arrange my annual review and collect a sample bottle. On the way home I witnessed a police chase.I was aware of an emergency vehicle approaching me  from behind ,as I could hear a siren. This turned out to be a police car which passed me at high speed. The cop car turned off the road I was on and I continued on my way.A minute or two later 2 police women came running up from behind me and turned up into my close. Here they caught a young lad ,about18/19,who was being very abusive but was  quickly cuffed and led away. The lad was swearing and denying assaulting anyone.I felt like I was in a TV cop program episode. It doesn't happen every day, thank god

That sounds a bit scary @super_ram, not the sort of thing you want to witness is it?

It reminds me of an incident years ago when I was a youth, a friend of mine was running along the pavement in Sneinton, I can’t remember why he was running but it was completely innocent, he became aware of two men running behind him and shouting so a bit frightened he ran faster but so did they and eventually they caught up with him and it turned out they were plain clothes policemen they arrested him because he resembled someone who had just committed a serious offence, he was cuffed and hauled off to the police station where thankfully he was able to prove his innocence but a very scary thing to happen to him.

Morning all, another bright sunny start to the day.

It’s matchday and I’ll be going with grandaughter Chloe it’s the first night match she’s been to, I always think matches under the floodlights are special, the atmosphere is somehow different. I hope Notts give us a good win because I’m giving up my beer and curry night to go to this match.

COME ON YOU PIES!

Lovy morning here. Done my 10,000 steps this morning while it was cooler.

Update on our Bumblebee Nest. Looks like the Queen has a few young offspring working for her now. The Queen is still leaving the Nest and collecting Nectar.

Looking forward to the match this evening. Notts have had two good results in the last few days that helps them. Chesterfield drew & Crewe lost.

A couple of wins for Notts should see them safe in a playoff spot. But it's not a gimme. CMON U PIES!!.

Good morning and happy Sunday everyone. I slept until 8.30 this morning which is very unusual for me I think yesterdays park run and gardening in the afternoon meant I was really tired.

How is everyone? Come on the weekly chat and let us know.

It's a little more cloudy today here but we are getting some sunny intervals too. It's just a little cooler today than we've seen during the past week

Good news this afternoon. The Notts Women have beaten Lincoln City at Gainsborough by 3 goals to nill. Great that they have managed to get a clean sheet too.

That win gives them ten wins this season with just one game to go. Ten wins in a 12 team league isn't bad.

Looks like they will finish mid table which is a massive improvement compared to last season when they survived relegation by the skin of their teeth.
