Game 45 - The Sulphurites (A)

Team: Harrogate Town

What line-up should Stuart Maynard opt for? What will be the key areas for the Magpies to get a victory? What do you think the final score will be?

There is always something going on in Harrogate.

Used to deliver milk to stores in Harrogate. Had to deliver to the centre of Harrogate during early morning or you could forget it.

One run was around mid-day but not to the centre but it was still bad enough, the traffic was horrendous at that time.

The Town is one of the busiest I've seen during the day. Lots of tourists every day during the summer.

If Notts are to secure a place in the playoffs they have to get a win against Harrogate.

I would play Jarvis on the left & Tsaroulla on the right if he's fit. I would drop Palmer to the substituted bench & play Abbott & Hinchy in the middle of midfield.

I would play Whittaker in the number 10 position.

My starting 11 would be.

Bass, Bedeau, Platt, McDonald, Tsaroulla, Abbott, Hinchy, Jarvis, Whittaker, McGoldrick, Jatta.

It was a toss up between Whittaker & Grant, but I chose Whittaker because I believe he's a better all round player.Β

We seem to play better away than at home so let’s hope we can pull a win out of the bag, I’ll leave the line up to Stuart he’s seen them in training.

I don't know, Harrogate are a team we tend to struggle against and know how to adapt their football to suit league teams. At this point, they are very well established and I just have a feeling the game will end up as a draw.

James Belshaw has also been a tricky keeper, so if we are to get something from the game, I do believe Notts would need to be at their very best.

I would start Jodi Jones and Will Jarvis, focus on an attacking-minded team. I would hope defensively, we are prepared to clear the ball away from danger instead of playing it down. At the start of the season, this was a policy that Notts tended to do, and it worked out better. Defensively, we are good enough to make Harrogate have to work for anything, but I am mindful about their set pieces and corner kick routines.

Though, with Alex Bass back in between the sticks, it is a welcome boost.

If we want to go up, we should be winning at Harrogate, especially when a season's work is at stake. Forget the last few games, just put the blinkers on and get the job done.

Tsaroulla is injured unfortunately, so it'll be two out of Jones, Jarvis and Grant for the wide positions. I think Grant will get the nod as he does a lot of work off the ball; personally I'd try the other two and put an extra man in midfield.

But above all, I want to see an aggressive, brave Notts team booking a play-off spot tomorrow.

Slightly surprised we've only made the one change to be honest, still I'm hoping that team can get the three points.

I'm just glad when they said the match was delayed for an injury it wasn't for one of our players, our luck is turning!
