The Nottingham Forest forward is now in an induced coma after surgery on a stomach injury after he collided with a post in Sundays match against Leicester.

It was only a matter of time before a player was seriously injured due to the stupid off side rule that means the assistant referee can’t put their flag up early.

My thoughts are with him I hope he pulls through.

It's a very serious injury & shouldn't have been allowed to happen. A Forest player was clearly offside & the game should have been stopped immediately.

The rules on VAR need to be changed after this injury that should have been avoided.

I just wish Taiwo has a speedy recovery.

It’s just awful, I really hope the authorities look at this rule.
