Good morning it’s a bright sunny Bank Holiday Monday so far, I hope it stays that way for people who are making the most of the long weekend off work/school/college etc.

We tend to avoid going anywhere at bank holiday times, so it’ll be a walk around the local streets and paths and time in the garden, weather permitting.

Whats everyone else up to?

Greetings from the east coast, where I am currently pitched in my beach tent and relaxing with a brisk breeze. It's been very nice so far, with only Saturday experiencing early spells of rain.

We are making the most of it and are all enjoying the family break.

In news, @super_ram might feel disappointed to learn that Ling-a-longer Chippy at the bottom of Winthorpe Avenue is up for sale. My parents have been friends with the owner, Dave, for many years. It's a shame, as it feels like the end of an era. That said, in recent years his wife had started helping out, but she's not remotely a people person. It certainly went downhill after the premises had a fire.

I've tried to catch up a few times with Dave, as I thought he would like to know about my mum, but getting past his wife's communication skills has been impossible. It's a shame, as he's a pillar of the community in that area. He's probably retiring, but I will miss the laughs. When I was younger, we used to have water pistol fights. 🤣

A bit of a mixed bag here weather wise. Some sunny intervals but also some showers in between.

Please to see that Wimbledon got promoted to league 1. They showed again today that they have an excellent defence & they finished with over 20 clean sheets for the season.

Hard luck on Walsall after being 15 points clear at the top at one point, but they faded badly in the second half of the season.

Watched a  film during the late afternoon & early evening. "Son of Spartacus" was a film I'd never seen before. It was an Italian made film.

There are some good old films like this one currently on you tube, which are very enjoyable.

Morning all, a bright start to the day here but looking like it’s going downhill rapidly later so best make the most of the morning.

Mrs. T wants some new clothes for our forthcoming holiday so it’ll be shopping today, deep joy.

I’ve also got to do a bit to my home made wine which is now sitting in the garage clearing. I have a gallon of parsnip and a gallon of Rhubarb plus a barrel of home brew beer which is ready to drink. 🍺

It's been raining all day here. The garden is starting to look lush again and the lawn is starting to perk up to

The wet weather has brought back Mr Mole who is making a few mile hills in our lawn.

Looks like we might get a return to warmer weather towards the end of the week.

I decided to take a break from the walking & I decided to get on our exercise bike to see how it goes

The Mrs has been using it from time to time but I hadn't been on it for a few years.

I surprised myself & managed to do 7.5KM in 25 minutes.

So it appears that Adam Hinshelwood has become one of the the favourites to replace Maynard. Another National League Manager.

A think Notts need an experienced League 2 Manager to get out of this league.

Good morning, it’s a cloudy start to the day here, the weather is forecast to be quite warm today and tomorrow so I’ll make the most of it and get out n the garden as much as I can, not to do gardening, oh no, just to relax with a beer or two.

Oh alright I might pull the odd weed up if I feel inclined. :rollonfloorlaughing:
