We've already got a European Super league in all but name. Now European Clubs are pushing for the Club World Cup to be expanded.

In the not to distant future it will be almost inevitable that the top clubs in England & Europe won't have the time to play in their domestic leagues with all these other competitions being expanded.

Could they leave their own domestic leagues to make more money elsewhere? I think that it is inevitable.

Would this be a big loss to the domestic leagues? Of course it would, but I don't see how the inevitable march to a superleague of some sorts will be prevented.

I think those making changes to the game, especially its structure, have no real ideas. This seems more about money and selling the World Cup to different countries to attract more visitors.

It’s a bad decision. The 32-team format worked well. Expanding to 48 was a ridiculous jump that needs to be reversed.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

FIFA need to stop changing the format and just let the tournament be played properly. Since the last expansion, it has only given struggling big nations a chance to scrape through, even by finishing 3rd. If the competition meant what it should, it would reward teams that finish higher and return to a fairer number. Yes, some smaller nations will qualify, but they are the exception. It’s like Manchester United demanding a Champions League spot after finishing 15th.

"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."

I’m losing faith in the way some of these changes are being made, especially when it feels like they don’t have the best interests of the game at heart. FIFA need to stop messing with the World Cup. I enjoy watching the early matches, but the more teams they add, the less special it feels. The last few competitions have already seemed bloated, especially since 2016.

If you have any problems or concerns, feel free to send me a private message (PM). Always happy to help!
Please note: I’ll do my best to help, but some issues may need passing on.

Big clubs? You mean Germany and whichever European nation happens to have a poor World Cup. It’s probably France, given how eager they are to win it. It makes no sense. How is it financially beneficial to any nation except the host?

It's ok to discuss the Nations World Cup, however the point of the thread was to discuss the Club World Cup.
Major clubs like Man U, Chelsea, Man City, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, AC Milan & their ilk are pushing for a 48 Club World Cup.
Sorry if I didn't make it clear in the main heading.
