As @Fan of Big Tone is on holiday, here is this week's general chat thread.

It's been a lovely day here today with lots of warm sunshine.

Visited the supermarket this morning to buy some tubs for the rest of the summer bedding flowers we have been planting.

Managed to get them all planted and watered this afternoon. All seem to be doing well.

I've also been pleased with the two new Notts signings today. Hope we get further good news as the week goes on.

Hi all, it's been another lovely day today here in Mansfield. Looks like it's going to be a warm night.

Spent some time in the garden today watering the newly planted plants, followed by the customary weeding. The new plants seem to be doing well.

Plan to get up early and cut the grass tomorrow before it gets too hot.

Good morning from Cobh in Southern Ireland, this is our last port of call before heading back to Southampton to arrive on Friday. It’s been a great two weeks sailing around Britain on this lovely cruise ship, although we haven’t had the hot weather you’ve been getting. Belfast was very wet, Liverpool was cloudy, ironically the Scottish highlands had some nice weather though.

Here’s a pic from our balcony of Cobh (pronounced Cove).

Yesterday I had a physio appointment, where I was given some local community resources to explore for extra support. Though they are not very local to me, I am still very interested. I just have to figure out how to get there on public transport.

The breeze coming into my room so far feels very nice, relaxing even, and not too hot. It probably would be if I were to go out. 🀣

Going to start looking at the things I have assigned myself to look at now. πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Good evening.

It's been a lovely warm day again here. The temperature is rising & the weathe looks fair for the weekend.

Spent some time in the garden again just doing the usual garden maintenance. Plan to get up early tomorrow to cut the lawn & afterwards will be watering the young plants.

I go to Cobh Ramblers games in the League Of Ireland. It's a nice place to visit. Even better when the sun is shining.

I wish I could say today feels productive, but it isn't, and I feel like it's one of those days where nothing gets resolved. I am tempted to take a step back and come back in an hour's time. This might read a little cryptic, but I had hoped to do a large amount of work on PON today. πŸ˜₯ I haven't been able to, but that's how things work.

The breeze blowing in my bedroom has been quite heavenly for once, despite it looking hot, hot, outside.

Good afternoon all.

It's been a beautiful morning here. It warmed up very fast and looks like it will be the hottest day of the year here.

I was up early to it the lawn before it became too hot. Will finish off trimming the hedges tomorrow morning.

Just be careful to put on plenty of factor 50+ when in the sun more than a few minutes. It is very powerful as we approach the longest day of the year. The longest day is the 21st June.

Can't believe it's a few days till the longest day then after about a five day pause the daylight will start to reduce once again.

We've also been busy this morning assembling our desk top fans to combat the heat this weekend.

afternoon everyone, @Piethagoram, @Robbie, @Fan of Big Tone. πŸ‘‹πŸ»

i am currently on my break, usually i go to walk around in the city centre to find something to eat but with the warmth i have brought a pack launch. my work place provides a shaded area with benches for employees to sit and have breaks. i dont really use it but its quite nice hiding from the sun. its actually pretty nice out, just a bit too hot at times. work has been very busy, with deliveries coming in and having to sort out what is being exported or take out for deliveries. i love having a routine, but sometimes you have to change things just to make sure you dont melt or freeze depending on the weather.

after works finished, i am tempted to go to one of those desert places for a treat.

i hope everyone is okay and are keeping out of the heat, please remember to drink plenty.

Nothing exactly exciting from my perspective, trying to keep cool and comfy. I have done some of my daily exercises, which I try to do around 1:30ish every day. I am still hard at work with PON, while gazing to see if any news has come out.

I have put up the pre-season fixtures that have been announced.

It would be nice to see a couple of home ties added to this.

I like how this doesn't look like a social influencer took it, but in all seriousness, it's a nice photo! Are you all set for the German tour? #COYP

And the sun was out, it’s a lovely place I hope to visit again in the future.

We are at sea on our way home off the coast of Torquay as I write this, we’ll be alongside Southampton at 6.00 am tomorrow.

Then it’s a coach drive back to Nottingham.

Hi all. We had a smidgeon of rain here tonight about 2 hours ago, although it is warmer in the house than it was last night.

The house bricks have been warming up over the last three or four days so that will be helping to heat the house too. It's just over 77 Deg in the living room at this moment.

Nice to see @Fan of Big Tone back, there's plenty to talk about Notts wise with the incomings & the speculation going viral about who the new Head Coach will be. We've gone Danish on here too.

I wish we’d have had some rain on our garden while we were away, my tomato plants looked awful, I’ve given them a good drink and they’ve perked up a bit,the potted clematis looks like it’s died and the pond is almost empty. The only thing that’s flourished is the yucca which has sprouted a huge flower but I guess it’s a sort of tropical plant anyway.

Thanks miduck, it’s nice to be back, you can have too much rich food and expensive wine, I’m looking forward to beans on toast and a pint of my home brew. joker

Good morning all, it looks like another hot sultry day today. I’ve got lots to do, we haven’t unpacked our suitcases yet so that’s the first job, then get some washing on and hung out to dry which shouldn’t take long. Then the lawn needs mowing it’s more like a carpet of clover at the moment, I a,so want to fill up the pond so the birds have got something to drink. The grandkids are coming to stay the night, we are doing a bbq which always goes down well with them.

Have a great day everyone.

It's been hot here but we've also had some on and off rain this afternoon. We watered out plants this morning so they had a little bonus this afternoon.

It's a good end to the day as the young lions have won their quarter final against Spain. A bit of revenge after losing to Spain in the final of the senior Euro Championship.

It's certainly going to be hot and muggy tonight. We e got the ceiling fans in as well as the portable ones.

It's another lovely sunny morning here. Have been up this early this morning watching the breaking news overnight.

Will be out in the garden this morning mowing the lawn & just general garden work.

Plenty of sport on the box today, Mens Final at Queen's Tennis, 3rd day of the first Test match between England & India, & Notts playing Yorkshire at Trent Bridge in the County Championship.

Will we get some news about the appointment of a new Head Coach or news of another player coming to ML today?

Morning all, a sunny start here too. Yesterday I got stuck in to the garden which has been neglected for a fortnight. I mowed the lawn and cleared some plants from the pond which was in desperate need of filling up, so now the birds and animals can get a drink in this hot weather.

Later we had a bbq with the grandkids who have stayed overnight while their mum and dad went to see Pulp in Manchester.

We won’t see the kids until lunch time now they are teenagers they’d rather lie in their pits than spend time with granny and grandad. joker

Right it’s time to do the word games hopefully I’ll do better than yesterday. πŸ™„
