Morning all, I’ve had a right bother getting on Granny Pies General Chat to start this topic, I keep getting an error message on my iPad then I can’t get back to it, I hope Chris can sort it soon.

Today I’ve got to go to the doctors for my second shingles jab, I’ve got a bit of a needle phobia so I’m a bit nervous but as they say it’s only a little prick. πŸ˜‚

Have a great day everyone it seems a bit cooler at least.

Morning all, it’s a cloudy start and 16 degrees at the moment.

Yesterday I spent most of the day on my iPad while chris tried different things to stop the error which I was experiencing, hopefully it’s sorted as it was almost impossible to navigate the forum, most frustrating.

So today I’ve got a bit of a sore arm from my shingles jab but no other problems, I’ve got to sort out my car insurance which is due soon, it’s gone up Β£45 so I’ll do a few comparison sites to see if I can get it down.

Have a great day everyone.

It was a warm night again here, more inside than outside. The House bricks are still warm following the hot weather so it's affecting the temperature inside.

The temperature tonight is still forecast to be around 15 Deg so another uncomfortable night possibly awaits.

Morning all, the problems with my iPad still persist in spite of spending g a lot of time yesterday clicking on the forum while Chris tried disabling different things to try and find out what is causing the problem. He goes to so much trouble trying to fix it I feel guilty that I highlighted the problem.

Yesterday we had a right mangy looking fox come in our garden during the day, he had a drink from the pond and then headed off, he didn’t look very well at all. We’ve caught them on camera during the night and very early morning but never at 2pm in the day.

It's tough trying to figure out why iOS devices don't play nicely; I have been trying, and so have a couple of devs. It's a shame my iPad mini is broken, and my daughter's 7th-generation runs the site smoothly.

I'm trying to get to the bottom of it, while looking into other things, but it's proving very difficult.

I have some social media stuff to do, but I am really hoping I can find out what's going on, as it could be causing others issues.

Morning all, I spoke too soon after saying I’d had no reaction from the shingles jab, the next day I felt very unwell with flu like symptoms, yesterday that had gone but my arm was red, painful to touch and very hot, today is still a bit sore but the redness has gone and it’s not so hot, I’ll see how it goes over the weekend if I have any more trouble I’ll have to contact the surgery, the symptoms are suppose to go after three days.

Good evening all.

It's been a cloudy day here but very humid and warm. It's very warm in the house & looks like being another uncomfortable night.

We both spent some time in the garden. We've got out our wooden table and chairs to give them a good clean. We do have some plastic chairs that we use most of the time.

Mrs has also started her spring cleans, ( a little late) so I've been giving her a hand. The time has gone by very quickly today mind.

So the longest day has past us & the days will start to get shorter, but up to now it's been a very good spring & early summer.

Even though rain has been forecast during the last few weeks we haven't had a lot here. We've still had to supplement the watering of our plants. We plan to do that tomorrow

Good morning, you might not believe it bit I actually felt cold during the night, we ditched the duvet and just had a sheet to cover us and also had a fan on all night, so although it was25 degrees inside the bedroom I was cold.

In other news we’ve subscribed to Netflix, we had it last year for a while then ditched it but given the dross on normal telly we decided to give it a go for a while. Last night we were catching up with The Crown, so we’ll binge watch that every night,

Have a great day folks stay cool if you can.

Yesterday, I had the first walk with my brother since the day @GrannyPie sadly passed. It's been something we have tried to do, but things never seem to have planned out. For me, the walks are vital in keeping my legs functioning, therefore enabling me to walk. It was really nice to get out; the weather wasn't too hot, but I did feel like drinking a lot more than normal. We met up in the car park, then went for a walk around the lake while playing PokΓ©mon Go.

We tended to meet for community days with the game, as it gave us something extra to do while walking and talking.

It was the 2025 PokΓ©mon Go Fest, so there was a lot more activity with the game. My niece, Luna, is walking a lot more, but my brother also took a trike, which we pushed her around in at times. There was a football club doing running drills, and a physio whom we tried to learn who it was, as they seemed to be training like a professional club. Their training gear was also made by Nike, and they didn't seem very amateur at all to me.

They must have run past us at least three times as we walked around the lake.

I think I overdid it just a little, as once I came home, I just wanted to sit and eventually started getting bad back pain. Which led to me being absent for the rest of the day, as I became sleepy and slept it off.

Today has been quite nice, though my legs and back continue to hurt. I have been resting up and just relaxing. @cheeky~k8 has cheered me up a lot, something which I appreciate because I feel down when I can't do what I normally want to do.

Good evening all. It's been cloudy all day with just a smidge of sunshine, but it's still been pretty hot here. At 9:30 it's still 28 Deg in our living room even with the ceiling & portable fans on.

Put up our four home made flower baskets today. They've established themselves & started to flower. Hopefully in a few weeks they will look great.

Gave all the new plants are water this evening. They are starting to look good. We only lost a couple of plants after delivery, so I look upon that as a success.

The Mrs has been continuing with her spring clean in the Kitchen. We do a little bit at a time so we can do other things too like the garden work.

I was able to get out my bike this afternoon, it was cloudy with a slight breeze so I went a bit further then I originally planned as I thought there would be more sun. I take a little bag with a puncture repair kit and importantly a cool drink, which I did glug at my half-way break. I feel like I’m one of few that is enjoying the warm weather, I’d much rather it be hot then 1Β° in the middle of winter.

Some of girlfriend’s family still live in Spain, most are south of Bilbao and not far from LogroΓ±o at it’s been 38Β°/39Β° there! Now that would be too much for me, they are a bit more used to the heat but even so that is too much. They can’t go outside during the middle of the afternoon and even early evening because it is just too hot, they’ve said they’ll be relieved when it drops back to the high 20sΒ°!
