The EFL Trophy draw has put Notts in the Northern Group D with Lincoln & Barnsley. We will learn which PL under 21 side will join them in tomorrow's draw.

Man United under 21s have been drawn in Notts group. That match will be a tough one, but I'm sure there might be a decent crowd at ML.

I don’t get why the EFL still does this. Ever since they put in the Premier League B teams, there’s been loads of arguments about it. The cup doesn’t really make sense anymore. Not many people care about it.

If a small club wants to get to Wembley, there are better ways to do it.

The EFL Trophy is basically used by PL clubs just to give their young & fringe players match practice against the senior players of lower league clubs which they wouldn't normally get playing against teams in PL 2.

Personally, I would rather have this tournament scrapped, because I think it has been devalued by allowing in PL B teams, instead the authorities should bring back replays in the FA Cup from the first round onwards again.
