Partick Thistle ask fans for help with new players lodgings

Featured Replies

Didn't we do this once during the Trew era?

At least I seem to recall something like this happening or being suggested. David Grof stands out in my memory as someone who might have stayed with a fan I know. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DΓ‘vid_GrΓ³f

It's not uncommon for clubs who don't have a lot of money, and wish to reduce the costs of hotels and apartment rentals.

Notts County did ask if they could provide accommodation for some of Ricardo’s players when they joined the club. It was meant to help them settle in during the early stages of their time here.

Partick Thistle might struggle financially to offer the same kind of support. Signing players and housing them, even for a short while, can be expensive.

Offering temporary accommodation might be a way to make the club more appealing to players. If they feel supported from the start, they may be more willing to join.

There aren’t as many homes available in Scotland, but it might still help to house players there for a short time while they figure out their plans. Most footballers don’t tend to move permanently. They usually stay in short-term flats with other team-mates while they’re playing.

Players who have families or see a long-term future with the club often look into getting their own place to live.

good for them, scottish football does seem a bit more together with fans helping those who cant afford season tickets to get one. i would not be against housing any new players to help settle, i have two spare rooms which i have tried to encourage @CliftonMagpie and his girlfriend to take up since renting is very expensive right now. it makes a lot of sense to offer a room, and integrate with support.

Just asking if anyone from Notts wants to let a Forest player stay over. No tricks or anything. unsure
