West Allotment Celtic

Featured Replies

I’ve never seen a web link take you to two different pages, even though it’s the exact same URL. It’s a bit odd.

If you do click it, make sure to choose the link next to “Did you mean: West Allotment Celtic F.C”. That’s the one that gives you the right info, something I didn’t realise at first.

With a name like West Allotment, you’d expect it to end in Albion, not Celtic.

I’ve never heard of the village either. It’s a bit odd seeing a place called West Allotment, especially when an allotment is usually where you go to do a bit of gardening, not play football. I’d get it more if the team was called West Park Celtic FC. That would make a bit more sense.

It rings a bell, but I don’t know why. I wonder if it’s been mentioned here or to me in the past. Thinking a little more, it might have been a quiz where I heard about the village.

Quirky things like this are interesting to read about. Celtic is also a very common name for clubs. At least their badge is unique to them and quite nice for a team within the Scottish football pyramid.
