Bromley are not without faults, and this is why having good players and depth in the squad comes in handy. They have beaten Barnet and Cheltenham, who aren't exactly the best teams in League Two, at t

This is our 11th game against Bromley. It doesn't feel like 11 games. Anyway.....we drew at home and beat them away last season. The 4-2 away win was one of our best results IMO. Bromley are unbeaten.

  • This will be a tough one. No doubt Andy Woodman watched the game last night and picked out our weaknesses to exploit. Let's hope Martin and the boys are prepared and ready. Probably just as important,

I'll be pleased if we manage to complete this match without conceding a goal from a set-piece. I expect Bromley will play to frustrate us, it's far from exciting but it's what they do.

Fingers crossed we can race into a 2-0 lead like we did last time out, COYP!

HALF TIME

NOTTS LEAD AT THE BREAK.

Mark Stallard: 'Deservedly so. They will be disappointed that they conceded but Matty Dennis has been superb in that first half.'

FULL TIME

NOTTS HAVE TO SETTLE FOR A DRAW.

Mark Stallard: 'Notts will feel that those are a couple of points that slipped away that they didn't deserve.'

Notts played well, especially in the first half. We don't deal very well with balls into the box. Roos doesn't come for them and our defenders don't win enough headers or we are second to the breaking ball. Dennis is finding his feet. He could fill the gap left by Jatta, permanently or temporarily......but we do need another striker. 4 points from 2 home games isn't bad but we have to start making up ground and quickly at that.

I want to try to remain positive, but just one win in their first six matches, & albeit a win against the worse team in the league, doesn't give one confidence for our prospects this season.

This game was a marker for me how Notts stand at the moment against other decent sides in League 2 & it would have been a good marker to beat a decent side like Bromley.

In the first half Notts played well & Matt Dennis for me was a revelation & we could easily be watching a 20 goal a season man, the way he's started the campaign. He's a big positive.

In the second half Notts were poor and the substitutions didn't help the Notts flow. I got the impression that Notts were settling for a 2-1 win which is very dangerous against a side like Bromley.

The Bromley equaliser was inevitable the way the game was going & it just had to be a scrappy goal too. I still think that it was two points lost instead of one point gained.Notts.

Notts should have won this match for their first half performance, but were punished by a decent side for sloppy defending. Notts need a striker, a goalkeeper & a playmaker.

Overall we were better today I see definite progress. We played some good football at times and generally defended well against a very physical side that pump balls into the box. We could have won that game but for a deflected equaliser. We have started an unbeaten run. Onwards and upwards.

If team wants aspirations for success in this league they have to deal with the physicality of this league. They have to cut out conceding sloppy goals, & they should ensure they make the game safe before going on the defensive.

taking off jodi, barry cotter and nick tsaroulla seemed like a big mistake. we replaced them with two very inconsistent players so far, and i dont think keanan bennetts its someone to bring on when you have pressure and need capable defenders. the subs turned the tide and made the disconnection show, the performance until then i would say was better but we fell flat after the changes. what disappointed me the most was how lucky the Bromley goal was, we never get that type of luck but a draw does seem a fair result.

Good point @liampie, unlike Wednesday, this time the subs came on and took us backwards. I though Grant was Ok, but Hall, Bennetts and especially Gordon just didn't make the contribution MP was looking for. The others 3 might have needed a rest, but I think Cotter might have easily done the 90

Performance wise, a very good intense first half. Another sloppy goal to concede.

2nd half clueless as we continued to lose possession

If you learn something from every game, there shall come a point in time, when you should never lose... Jimmy Sirrel
