feels like we have been robbed, i could not see the penalty but the referee missed a lot of dirty play by crewe. loads of elbows, pushing and kicking out. i do think luker should have won a penalty, but mcdonald equally could have given one away. it felt like a draw, but notts played well enough. dont get disheartened and just go again.

Let's just say this was an opportunity missed. More shots, more possession and yet still end up losing the game.

I think Dennis did something incredibly stupid in grabbing that shirt - better not come on if you give it away like that. But referee, shame on you,

the defender who was booked had a handful of Jodi's shirt in the first half. If one's a penalty, the other has to be. And we had other good penalty claims too. Cheated, again.

Jatta going 0 for 2 from 3 yards didn't help though.

not just jodi, they seemed to be trying it on with robbo. he was smashed from behind with a blatant elbow, he was hacked to the ground and got back to eon the ball, only to be pushed off it. later on, he was hit and kicked out at by the winger the gaffer mentioned. i am not being bitter, just feel they got away with so much but we had plenty of chances and that's a promising sign. our away form does need to improve, but games where teams play like crewe will be hard because they can play good football.

Sure @liampie, but I focus on Jodi going down in the box in the first half because it was like for like with their penalty - a shirt pull in the area.

I know we are focusing on the way Crewe played against us, & yes, we probably should have had a penalty, & yes, Crewe played dirty against us, but we already know how teams are going to play against us,.

The point is, we should have buried this team out of sight before injury time came upon us. We had some gilt head chances that should have been put away

Notts have to put away the chances when they present themselves, & we are supposed to be much more physical under Paterson & deal with these physical teams like Crewe.

Why does it always seem to happen at Crewe!? We had the double whammy, a penalty and howler of a goal.

I thought we totally deserved at least a point from that, but sadly two individual errors cost us. It was a physical and fast-paced match and I thought overall we stood up to Crewe's aggression and snideness.

I agree with the comments about our potential penalties, I'd need to see the one on Luker back but Jones was clearly having his shirt pulled.

Same old same old against Crewe, given the win by an inconsistent supposed Premiership referee.

Up to date table after today's league 2 games.

Alassana Jatta had several chances where he could have done better with his finishing. He was stretching at times, but you’d still expect more effort, especially with how he aimed his shots. I thought Tyrese Hall did well. He looked sharp and might have scored. Scott Robertson caused a few problems too, and Matt Palmer hit a brilliant shot that the Crewe keeper did well to save.

It feels like three points slipped away against a team that didn’t deserve more than one. Notts looked the stronger side but lacked that final touch in front of goal. The referee was very inconsistent with fouls. Some were given, others ignored, and it didn’t make much sense. Notts could have had two penalties, and Crewe might say the same. Giving one and not the others needs looking into.

I watched the match through the red button on Sky and thought Notts started well. It felt like one of those games where we would score early and then take control. Crewe had a few tidy moments, but I wasn’t worried until they scored from a corner. That goal seemed to unsettle us and change how we played.

Crewe had a good spell for about ten to fifteen minutes after their goal. During that time, we looked sloppy and struggled to get back into the rhythm of the game.

Once Notts found their footing again, they were clearly the better side over the full ninety minutes. Crewe were physical, with elbows flying, pushing and falling to the ground, but they did offer something going forward. They looked sharp on the counter, and Martin Paterson needs to find a way to help Notts stay solid by attacking more, rather than letting the pressure build through corners.

It was gutting to lose to a penalty, especially when we had two clear shouts ourselves that could have changed the outcome. James Golding and Jack Lankester were lucky to stay on the pitch. Golding should have been sent off after three separate offences. He elbowed Scott Robertson, shoved Jodi off the ball, kicked him on purpose, and pulled Alassana Jatta’s shirt so hard he couldn’t move. The referee saw it was a foul but didn’t show a card. Lankester also hit and kicked Robertson, then tried to make it look like Robertson was the one at fault. I hope Notts reports both incidents to the FA.
