Good morning from Sunny Lanzarote, we are having a lovely time away from the cold and rain. I hope everyone is well and happy after another super win for Notts on Saturday.

Good day to you @Fan of Big Tone I'm glad Lanzarote is warm and sunny for you both. County did us proud at the weekend, battling the pitch, weather and Fleetwood.

Still suffering with this chest infection, hopefully the x ray I've had will show something. Weather cold but dry today, not my ideal day for going far. Rain forecast on and off for the rest of the week, so break out those umbrellas. 🌧

Good day everyone and get well soon @Michael D Pie.!

As we have a high share of pensioners here I felt moved to post this. I know you have more hours to fill and probably miss the routine of working life. Volunteer for a charity. Post stuff here on PON. But do not, I repeat do not, establish a counterfeit drugs empire like this man.

More or less the same age, I'd still take him over Trump though :)

Good morning one and all and thanks for the health wishes.

Cold and damp with a little added mist for effect here in the midshires this morning. Not a day for venturing far me thinks.

Today is a day for reflection so please read on :-

"Our hope is what can sustain us
when things look bleak and
difficult. And that is the reason
why I believe that hopelessness is
the enemy of justice. Justice will
prevail if we allow ourselves to
give in to hopelessness. Hope is
our superpower. It's the thing that
will get some of us to stand up,
even when people say, sit down.
That will get some of us to speak,
even when people say, be quiet
It's the thing that will get us to
believe we can do things that
maybe others think we can't do."

Thank you Bryan.

Morning all, today I’m returning to dear old rain sodden, cold Blighty. We’ve had a great week in Lanzarote but all good things come to an end. Look forward to catching up on here when we are home.

Good morning, we are extremely cold after returning from a lovely holiday in Lanzarote late last night, I think we should invest in one of those smart thermostats that we can switch on the heating remotely. We came from a sunny 23 degrees to rain sodden 5 degrees a bit of a shock.

I heard whilst away that a dear friend passed away after being diagnosed with prostate cancer in October, that’s 3 friends in the last few weeks that have passed two with prostate cancer. I sat and cried in the hotel bar when I heard of the latest one, so very sad, I’ll miss my catch up pint with him putting the world to rights RIP Jim.

I think I’m going to ask at the docs about a test, according to my medical records that I’ve checked online I had one a few years ago but I think they recommend every two years, I’ll see what the doc says.

sorry to hear that @Fan of Big Tone

my grandfather passed away with that aged 81 - checking with the doctor is a good idea. Mine said it isn't genetic at all, I was under the impression it was

Anyway, better focus on your sunny memories of Lanzarote and a great prospect of a win and jumping up to 57pt today.

My condolences @Fan of Big Tone it's never easy losing anyone especially a close friend. Prostate cancer is a silent killer and takes no prisoners. My father (God bless him) insisted that from the age of 50 i should approach the doctor regarding a PSA test, as my Grandad and Uncle had it and passed away. In March 2017 I was diagnosed with the Cancer, what a shock. In November that same year it was removed, in and out again in 3 days. Unfortunately I fell ill after being home for one night (SEPSIS) blue lighted back in and 17 days later returned home, the rest is history. I cannot reiterate enough how important it is to get tested.

Still bubbling after the Notts win yesterday. Barrow played well & it certainly looks like their current league position doesn't represent how good a team they are.
