Good morning, it’s March already and there are definite signs that spring has arrived our garden pond is a hive of activity with courting frogs and we have frog spawn in the shallows. I’d tried to post a picture but it’s too big apparently.

It’s promising to be a dry, sunny day so we are doing some washing in our new washing machine.

Have a lovely day folks.

I had a lot of back pain yesterday, decided to have an earlier night than normal and woke up this morning feeling very tired. Despite not wanting to, I fell asleep twice and I hate how the day passes me by because I would much rather be doing something.

Jake had his first driving lesson today with @Drivingmenotts, he came back very excited and I am proud of how he's doing not just learning to drive but his university course. Still on the subject of Jake, he has a plant that needed repotting. I used to do this a lot with my mum, who would grow her own plants and then repot them once they out grew their original pot. Unfortunately, Jake's plant seems to have a lot of dead roots. I have repotted it and I hope it grows stronger, it looks rather sorry for itself currently.

I haven't done any coding, but I have several things I will soon work on. 3 I have completed, but only have tested on my local dev install. I need to take them onto the dev site online and check, then I will bring them here.

I hope everyone is okay, I am looking forward to reading catchups from you all.

Please do join in, I feel bad for not being able to say much productive.

Morning all, I think I might be losing it, the other day I received a new bank card by post so I promptly cut up the old one (or at least I thought I had) later I noticed I’d got two bank cards the same so I can only assume I cut up another of my cards, oh dear, I’ve had to contact the bank of that card to send another. Now I don’t know which is the new card out of my two identical ones as it’s one of those app based accounts which doesn’t have expiry date on the actual card. So I’ll try to use both cards in the ATM to see which is rejected.

I must admit I rarely use cards as I always pay with Apple Pay on my phone but occasionally a transaction will ask me to confirm with the card.

Oh well hopefully dementia hasn’t set in and it’s just a moment of carelessness. My mam had dementia so it does worry me at times that I might develop it.

@Chris it's only your body trying to protect and heal, always do what it needs and you will be fine. On the other hand it could just be old age and poverty. 🗣👨‍🦯 😉

Nice looking food @Piethagoram hope you enjoyed it?

Easy mistake to make @Fan of Big Tone especially if rushing to cut up the old one so you don't make the wrong choice. We're glasses used for this venture or just trusting to luck? I have a sequence that I use to avoid a mixup. New card left in envelope until identified old card is chopped up, once done the envelope is opened and New Card revealed, registered and signed, simples. Hope this helps for the future. 💳 👍

Have a lovely Tuesday one and all.

@Fan of Big Tone: Speaking of new cards, mine always fails when I try to tap and pay, it's also very flaky when inserting it for the pin. So, you've reminded me that I must request a new one. I'll also take note that I shouldn't cut up the wrong one when it does turn up. 🤣

To be fair, they do clash but I am lucky that the one I need replacing would match my other card so it will be easy to spot which needs to go.

God help me if and when I turn 50. 😂

I know it's my body telling me to rest up, but I don't like not doing things. I must be busy, or doing something productive.

Today I did a check on Jake's plant, and unfortunately it's black at the base. Supposedly this means that there's zero chance of it growing again, and would be classed as dead. It's a shame, as I hoped we could get it back but now I know what it is - I think it would always be a struggle to please it when it doesn't like tempreature changes. My house can be cold until the heating comes on, and Jake had it by his window so it could get light. Not far below is his raditor, but he will learn.

I have installed an application I have built to show light and dark group images. I need to make amendments to the v5 theme, return changes lost when I upgraded it. I've had to apply 3 patches, as the application works fine on my dev install but when coming onto the live site I encountered issues.

There're a few I have finished which I am bringing over, between checking them and ensuring there's no bugs. I will get back to uploading content to the home page. It's been awhile since I have written anything.

Good morning it’s promising to be a really nice day today I hope the forecaster are right.

I deal with most of the financial things for us both, not because Mrs. T is incapable but it’s just what we’ve always done. After losing three of my friends quite suddenly I began to think of what would happen if I died suddenly so yesterday I spent a few hours putting all things financial on the computer, bank accounts, private pension details, insurance details, mot date, car tax etc. etc. Hopefully if God forbid anything should happen to me it will make things easier for her.

She is doing the same by putting things I am unfamiliar with, a morbid subject I know but you never know what’s round the corner as my three friends wife’s found out recently.

On a more cheerful note we picked up some nice steak pies to have with our chips tonight, pukka pies on special offer at Morrisons.

All together now 🎵 “who ate all the pies”. 🎵 🤣

Good afternoon, what a beautiful day, we’ve just got back from a long walk along the local canal, now it’s time for coffee and relax.

What a beautiful view @Fan of Big Tone makes you want to walk through the fields, taking in the lovely weather and wildlife.

Not so good this morning, damp and dreary in the midshires and the temperature is significantly lower than yesterday, still not to worry as it apparently changes again for the weekend 😀

Have a good day everyone 👍

@Michael D Pie.  Yes indeed it’s totally different here today back to our winter coats, it’s grey overhead and a very cool 7 degrees. Which reminds me of the old saying “ne’re cast a clout til May is out”. cold

Yes @Fan of Big Tone the old English sayings are definitely ones to listen to. There was a reason behind each and every one. "March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb" March often begins with rough winter weather and ends more gently.

There is some truth here. In Britain the jet stream often still drives strong storms in early March, while by late March spring air masses start to dominate, bringing calmer conditions. Thought you might like this one to go with your contribution 😀

Here’s another one for you @Michael D Pie. :

"If the oak is out before the ash, then we are in for a splash; but if the ash is out before the oak, we are in for a soak":

I guess it refers to the buds on the trees.

Good morning fellow pies (and Rams of course), how are we all today? It’s matchday of course so we are all full of anticipation and optimism, safe travels to our travelling supporters I’ll be listening on Radio Red which will probably turn into Radio Yellow and Blue as they follow the stags FA cup exploits but hopefully they’ll save some time for the Pies commentary.

Have a great day everyone and COME ON YOU PIES!

I thought today was mostly good, but I feel a bit bummed (down) now. I have been burying my head in code, trying to get parts sorted so that it's easier to return the content to the site. I won't focus on that, but it's like a bomb being dropped on the inside and no matter how many positives I can think of it still not enough to change the perception in my own mind.

That said, whilst I waited for the kick off yesterday's game I finally met someone who I have looked out for at away games for awhile. I thought I had in the past, but I think it's a mismemory.

It's always been a huge pleasure to meet people, and it's one of the many privileges of the site. It's one of the best things about the community aspects, as I still remember not knowing any fans aside of my family and although sometimes I find games to be overwhelming I do look back at all the wonderful people I have met. I'm not mentioning who, it's not fair and respect privacy but they also kindly donated.

When someone does this in person, I find it difficult and I tried politely to say that it wasn't needed. In my mind, I was worried it would be taken the wrong way, but when someone insists I will accept it but it doesn't take the awkwardness a way. Everyone who has helped, it does show me what the site means and I am always thankful for that. It was nice to have a brief chat, but I wished I didn't fall into complaining about a few things. 🤣 Ironically, those views were multipled by the behaviour of some supporters who I am gunning to speak with in person. I won't stand by seeing abuse, and I will call it out.

These people are always the first to want something from the club or the players, even after being a gob*hit* towards them.

In other news, I have made a large step with improvements and I will continue to reach this target. I am hoping to have my social publisher application ready, but I am still stuck on a few parts.
