Match Discussion: League Two - Harrogate Town (A)

Featured Replies

Stall is now agreeing that we could do with a second goal, it would ease things but provided we cut out the relapses at the back 1-0 should do the job. Either team does seem capable of creating a goal scoring chance, so it might not be all over.

I think Conor Grant has been coping well with their physicality.

Yes!! Now we need to manage these final minutes of the game, and just hold onto the ball without doing anything silly. I am not sure how Jatta scores goals like his second, when he seems to have easier chances that he misses, but it's pure brilliance.

A great response from Notts after the defeat at Oldham. Two goals and a clean sheet from the team is the perfect response..

There will be much more harder games to come for Notts in their last six games, but this vital win keeps them in the promotion hunt.

Harrogate are playing a little dirty, some of their late challenges have had me holding my own limbs. I defitley think Keanan Bennetts should have won us a penalty, the Town player made no ball contact and took him out. It doesn't matter if he got the cross in, he was taken out.

I would feel happier if we had a second goal.

It's madness, isn't it?

As Stall said 'anywhere else on the pitch....'

Can't refs have more awareness that they're making decisions not based on the incident, but the area of the pitch, and that there's nothing in the rules that should make them do that. Football should get on top of this and solve it - it's a unnecessary distortion of the rules of the game.

On top from the start. We used our attacking line-up correctly to dominate the game and we have to continue to do the same for every game. We've got a lot of good creative players and lovely technicians. It's our strength and we've got to play to it.

Goals at the double for Jatta.

Wow.

Bromley, MK Dons and Cambridge have all lost today. It's like a six pointer for Notts
Up to date table. Notts remain in third place.

Good day all round for Notts. Great stuff.

Salford took MK Dongs apart tho’, how Gilbey stayed on the pitch was, as always, a mystery. He’s an absolute animal, a disgrace to professional football in my view. He makes Hunter, Harris, Bremner and Mackay look like snowflakes. Crude, aggressive and plain dirty - just a cheat really.

They did get 1 red, rightly so.

Salford will be a tough gig on Fri, we need to up from the start. They attack and strong. Dongs made Graydon look like Salah at his best tho’.

It just proves what a change just one week can do in football. Notts earned a vital three points today, but in reality it was like a six pointer. All our main rivals losing within a few minutes of each other puts an entirely different complection on things at the top of league 2.

There's all to play for as far as Notts is concerned. Their destiny is right back in their hands. Six games to go. Six wins for Notts and they are promoted no matter what the others do. That sounds simple, but there's going to be more twists and turns before everything comes to a conclusion. But hope now abounds.
