A good professional win today from Notts without being spectacular. They did enough to score the two goals and gain another clean sheet

There were some reasonable performances from Notts today. Who's your favourite player that stood out from the rest?

The players that I have chosen are:-

Belshaw, Macari, Ness, Bedeau, Bennetts, Palmer, Iorpenda, Jones, Tangen, Bennetts, Jatta. Grant

Bedeau was more combative today, great interception for the second goal as well. He's the senior defender now so deserves a lot of the credit for the clean sheet.

Bennetts put in a good shift as well, nearly had his ankle broken. He's a better pick than Dennis now who's become pretty anonymous.

I really want to say Palmer or Macari, both were so good with the ball and in their positioning. Macari really should get more recognition.

A brace in a 0-2 away win though, plus decent hold-up and defensive play...I"m voting for Jatta in the end.

Some good performances in a very solid collective effort. Credit to Ness, after Tues night, he stood out bar 1 positional error.

Bennetts was very effective going forward and is always comfortable on the ball. Jatta scored two, his 1st touch still terrifies me tho’. Palmer was steady, available and a calming, efficient influence. He gets my vote for a pretty commanding display at the heart of things.

Tangen was looking lively but he’s a bit too easily brushed off, hope he’s ok tho’, we’ll need him. Great to see Luker back, a sign of “rust” but 2 or 3 quality touches - he’s class, that youth. Grant was good too in the 2nd half - he shoukd have scored but he creates space for others, beats opponents in tight situations and never stops working.

Well done Notts, and Matty P is my MOTM.

I thought Jacob Bedaeu and Tom Iorpenda were quite poor with their passing and decision making, especially at times during the first half when they seemed indecisive as to what they were going to do. The ball was loose for a while, and only one of them stood still. I realise they pay attention to more things than I do, so their reactions will be different. However, I didn't include either of them in my top five.

James Belshaw performed well, he really deserved the clean sheet. I though Jodi Jones had a better game, though I would have liked to see a bit more of an attacking threat from him. Keanan Bennetts looks like the most promising signing that we have made this season.

There's more I could highlight, but I think Alassana Jatta deserves my vote.

Not because of his goals, but because he always worked hard, got involved, defended, and fought to help Notts win against a fairly physical team.

I think that this was a great result for Notts, after the terrible performance against Oldham. I was particularly impressed because Notts has to deal with a small pitch, & adverse weather conditions too

I'm pleased that the defensive partnership remained solid. Palmer & Iorpenda together were big. Tangen showed some good touches, Bennetts impressed, Belshaw, did well when called upon.

I'm going for Jatta because his two goals were so important & they were poachers goals. He was in the correct position at the right time, which is so important for a striker.

The Sky pundits gave man of the match to Palmer and I could see why he had a great game, for me it’s between Palmer and Jatta but I’ve voted for Jatta for his two goals the second one was fantastic.

I like Tagen, he’s clearly a skilful player he just needs to move the ball a bit quicker at times. I think that just comes with a lack of experience of playing in England where you don’t get much time on the ball. It was a shame he had to go off because it was looking like one of his best games.

Maybe it’s just me but Ness makes me nervous, I always feel like we are moments away from a dodgy clearance, bad touch or poor pass. He did play well yesterday though.

But I went for Palmer, he linked our attack and defence nicely and pretty much had control of the middle of the pitch throughout.
