Good morning the day after, and all was well for Bank Holiday Monday, with 3 being a good number, 3 goals, 3 points and up to 3rd. Making everyone triple happy.

Tuesday and what a beautiful start to the day, a little crisp at 07:00 but sunshine is winning now, horses fed and watered, paddock poo picked and hay boxes filled. Muck tipped and feed buckets washed out ready for refilling later. All tidied up and now home for breakfast. I think that this retirement thing is just the job. 🤠

@Michael D Pie. 7.00 am!!! That’s the middle of the night! You’re supposed to be retired for goodness sake, it’s now 10.37 and I’m still in my dressing gown. 🤣

There is a method in my madness @Fan of Big Tone up with the wife and get a lift to the stables when she goes to work, sort the horses and then a steady walk home for brekky, simples 🤫😇👍😂

oh what a beautiful morning, although at this time I'm still yawning.

The sun slowly raising from his bed, spreading untold goodness it's said.

Bringing happiness to one and all, lasting beauty from the fireball.

Warm rays bathing everything touched, caressing and comforting us much.

Thanks so muchfor moments like these, Putting all our lives at ease.

Yesterday I wasn't able to do anything but sleep, a real bad day in terms of pain and I blame the person behind me from Monday's game.

Grumpy rant about why my back has been hurting: You have been warned.

I find it hard to believe that they were even fans with comments like "Jodi Jones is a really good player", then attaching "is a really good player" to every single one of our squad members who touched the ball. I am going to sound grumpy, but you'd expect this from a child not a grown adult. Even the stats mentioned were fictional, but it was the idiot who kept putting their feet up on seats in front, and beside them that annoyed me. Kicking my seat every time they moved, now I have fairly long legs and find it difficult to place my own knees but I don't put my feet up on seats and I most certainly don't knock someone's seat. If I do, I apologise and that's like a one off in a season.

It's that time of the season when disloyal, gloryhunters come out of the woodwork. I refer to the worst type as 'day trippers'.

And I don't like labelling fans, or placing any seperation onto them, but there are people like this that could come more often but choose to do so only when it's good. I can't count the worst minority as fans, as they know nothing about the club, can't even get our players names correct and just sound like people who know nothing about anything connected to Notts.

Thankfully, they moved up but then started doing it to my friend. Who sat forward so as not to make contact with his seat, but I can't do that. It hurts enough to be restricted for so long without some inconsiderate muppets kicking the back of my seat.

Today isn't much better, I'm even more annoyed that I missed walking my dad to the doctors because I was sleeping. Yet I can't blame the above, someone told me it was Thursday again. That said, I wished I knew because I would have grinned and beared it because it's more important.

I plan to go see Super later on, I am waiting for him to wake up.

I really need to find some way of coping better with back pain, though I do experience pain all over. It's my back that takes it out of me the most; it feels what I can only imagine feels like being broken.

@Chris you have my total empathy, back pain is only second to toothache and has more of a negative affect. The one thing in your favour is that you can still feel the pain, many who have now left this earthly plain would give anything to feel pain at all. Stay positive and humble my friend, giving gratitude for your first breath every morning. 🙏

I feel like a right grumy sod now, thank you, Michael. 🤣

No you are absolutely right, and the pain doesn't really compare to losing loved ones. I would happily just ignore the pain if I could have time with friends and loved ones who have moved on but the only thing I can do is try to avoid being irritated by ignorant people. It was more disappointment that it feels like it set me back, more than anything however annoying they were.

Pain can be so debilitating and depressing, you have my sympathy @Chris

Well I’ve had a “fun” morning NOT! We had a power cut during the night and it knocked out our Hive heating, I got on to the online chat which is all AI generated, I had to do all sorts to get the boiler paired with the thermostat again but the AI Assistant talked me through every step even when things didn’t work that it had suggested I was very impressed but it was really stressful.

I went briefly with Cheeky to take over some meals Mark had made for my dad. I would have gone earlier and been there for longer but I was asked to go later on. It was nice to spend the time we did, plus I do hope he enjoys the food.

I'm very thankful to Mark and his mum for their effort and consideration, as the meals will help Super.

Later on, Cheeky and I are going out for a walk along the canal. Possibly we will eat out, but we have no solid plans as such just yet. It will be nice to have a walk with my children, we used to do this very often when they were little.

@Chris well done for looking after @super_ram I hope he enjoys the food Mark and his mum made for him, enjoy your walk along the canal, I too enjoy walking and sometimes running on a canal tow path, it’s generally very quiet and peaceful, it’s nice to see the wild life too.

Mrs. T is cooking carbonara for tea tonight, I’m looking forward to that, she’s a lot better and will soon be finished the antibiotics so we’re hoping for no more relapses.

Fresh air, food and family, you can't beat it. Great to see you on the positive side @Chris doing the right thing and involving the kids once again, happy days.

I have to agree with you @Fan of Big Tone the sound of the countryside is stunning, especially at this time of year, everything seems to be regenerating and taking in that first gasp of spring and the cacophony of birdsong is awesome. I hope you enjoy your carbonara this evening.

Back pain is the worst, cos it's not just the pain it's the impact on mobility and the frequency therefore...

I'll join the club - for almost a week I've had a mystery groin strain. Getting up from anywhere and certain pissoir functions are the worst. Maybe I was carrying something that pulled it. My worry would be the onset of hip problems. But I googled, and had confirmed, another theory based on recent weight gain, and am happy to tell myself it's that for now! A relaxing weekend and I'll take it from there.

Very best wishes to everyone else battling against health issues, minor and major, to bear and overcome

Tis my job, Mr T. I pity the fool who wouldn't look after their father.

The walk, and time out, was nice. Even the meal we had, though there were parts in hindsight I would pass on but I won't complain.

Live and learn. Peace and quiet, amongst all that good stuff.

I really hope it isn't the onset of an hip problem, and that you manage to get some of the weight off. It sucks being on a diet, of a diet, of yet another diet but health is very important. I wouldn't read too much online, but I do acknowledge it can be useful.

Just make sure you get yourself seen if it persists, because a good doctor will have you on the mend.

The majority of my weight came on from dislocating my knees multiple times, and the reduced walking. Once the weight came, I wasn't able to shake it off like I once could. It doesn't help when you are told is x, but it's mostly y. It gives you a false idea on how to combat it, when it really does come down to diet and cutting back 90% of what is enjoyable.

I am not the biggest fan of plain water, but it makes a huge difference and it does help. That makes it more worthwhile to motivate yourself, and hopefully a little tweak will help you Anticlough.

That's all good stuff, thanks @Chris

I'll give it some time. I can remember having similar exactly 10 years ago - that was worse, I couldn't get out of a car. I went to the GP and was told it was arthritis. It went away and didn't hear a peep from it since then. I'm sure now that that time was from doing far too much time on a certain exercise bike. I'll take care and see someone in a couple of weeks if there's no progress. Agree with you that the weight loss is important on all fronts. Will definitely work on getting that off (prompted by weeks of a very specific new stress I think)

Hopefully, it does ease up and goes away with time.

Keep us posted with your journey, as we'll encourage and support you. 💪🏻

Morning all, how are we all feeling? If you’re anything like me I’d say pretty deflated, huh?

I guess after 60 odd years of supporting Notts I ought to be used to days like yesterday but it still hurts. On the bright side all is not lost we can still do it, if not automatic then playoffs. 🤞

In other news it’s roast chicken with all the trimmings for dinner today, I remember as a boy we only had chicken at Christmas as it was expensive but boy did I taste good not like the bland offerings we get in the supermarkets today, my mam used to buy a steam roaster from Victoria meat market and slow cook it in the oven it was delicious.

Have a great day everyone and best wishes to all who are under the weather.

I'm still optimistic that Notts can get success this season.

Notts are in the top four after 43 games, & we still are in the mix to achieve an automatic promotion place. That goal is no longer in our hands but there are still some awkward matches left for those teams above us & immediately below us.

Notts just need to do the business themselves over these last three matches to keep the pressure on. It could even go to the last League match before we know Notts fate this season.
