There are two types of possession football as far as I'm concerned. possession without penetration or with penetration. Notts demonstrated the former to the full last Saturday.

Pretty football is nice to watch but for me it's not the be all or end all. Football is all about scoring goals & a team doesn't get points for 71% possession.

I still believe that the continental style has had too much influence on the English game. Bromley have shown that the physical approach & direct style is still effective & can bring success.
