Nations League

So we now have a third tournament for the national side to play in. The Nations League, a product of UEFA.

Now we only have the outline to go on, but I like the thought that it would be divisionalised (that's a new word I made up right there), the one thing it doesn't mention is the promotion and relegation from the divisions. As they say the devil will be in the detail, but here is the Beeb sport website article....

Sounds interesting.

It could help spruce up the main competitions but the leagues won't like it. 20 games? replacing friendlies? Clearer info is required but it sounds a better idea than not.

Who knows where it is headed, but I like the fact they are trying to spruce it up, and make friendlies mean something

this actually sounds exciting but costly.

where will the money come from for the travelling? will the league systems have to contribute and in effect it becomes more expensive for us?
