YEP, that is my shout on this one... How can it be tolerated that an official (dubious pen or not) is chased from the field of lay by one of the sides, hell, by anybody.....

So they are out, if the players can behave like this then good, what's more whoever takes over at FIFA should announce their arrival with a ban from international competitions for 4 years... making sure the message is sent loud and clear!

Corruption, thuggery and blatant disregard for the spirit and rules of the game will not be tolerated...

What do you think?

I wouldn't condone their actions but they were robbed by the officials. It was quite clear that Equatorial Guinea were never going to lose that game. It doesn't say a lot for African football really. Corruption is rife.

In which case there should rightly be an investigation... not by FIFA... and if there is found to be coercion or corrupt activities the individuals / associations should be banned for a period of time...

Anybody remember the Paolo Rossi scandal... it doesn't matter how big a name they are

The thing I question is why can other nations get a way without punishment? It's only the smaller nations which seem to get the heavy hand coming down on them. Whereas others receive fans or totally ignored.

It would suggest that not only African football is corrupt but also FIFA.
