Sean Newton has been snapped up by Wrexham, whereas Greg Tempest signed for Lincoln City.

Manager Gary Mills has made his first new signing of the summer by persuading left back Sean Newton to join the club on a one-year deal.

Lincoln City have made their third signing of the summer after snapping up former Boston United and Notts County midfielder Greg Tempest.

The 21-year-old midfielder has agreed a one-year deal with the Imps, joining Lee Beevers and Matt Rhead, who signed two-year deals earlier in the day.

I'm pleased that Greg has been picked up by a local club, I think he will do well with them.

Lincoln do seem to be going for it, numbers wise or it could just be a coincidence they all sign on one day!

On the Newton front...

Didn't see the need for him really. Adams is capable and Cranston is adequate cover.

The only plus was the dead ball situations. We do need a good player who is first team level who can take a good corner and free kick.

Surprised they have been snapped up so quick, whatever happened to Andrews and Balmy? Don't get me wrong its good, just surprised.
