I was just reading the Leigh Curtis post web chat thing and there was a lot of talk of why isn't Curtis playing etc etc.

Time an time again Leigh was like what does Curtis Thompson bring to the time when has Thompson last scored and who would you replace .

I'm sorry but what Curtis brings is passion desire energy tackle hassles players presses the ball cares for the club great stamina

And he should replace smith anyone who thinks Curtis doesn't offer more then smith is blind this lad has ability okay he may not score loads but does smith?

He gets stuck in he chases everything down he doesn't stop and he is always on someone's toes he's the kind of player you needed Friday.

Someone who will hassle put players under pressure and show abit of pride and someone who will give the fans everything.

Sorry Leigh but if you think Curtis doesn't offer much you're blind

Curtis Thompson offers a lot of what Alan Smith doesn't, if CT could bulk up and let the opposition know he's there - I would replace him for AS any day of the week. It's actually in our best interest to being playing Curtis Thompson.

This said, he's a more refined Noble (skill wise) - similar drive, but far better at defending.

Problem is, Noble/Thompson doesn't really work.

Better drive good passing beats people he is a perfect midfielder

I'm surprised too, I'd have thought that Thompson would be perfect for our style of play. Maybe the manager finds him too similar to Aborah?
