Stoke City Investigate Pig's Head 'Prank'

<!--url{0}-->A player's car windscreen is reported to have been smashed after a row erupted when Kenwyne Jones found the head in his locker.

Sky sources understand that a row broke out among some of the squad when striker Kenwyne Jones apparently found the severed head among his clothes.

Another first team player then reportedly had the windscreen of his car smashed.

In a statement, Stoke City said: "The club takes seriously reports of an incident at our training ground this afternoon.

"A full internal investigation will be carried out and those responsible for any unacceptable behaviour will be dealt with in accordance with the club's disciplinary procedures."

The picture of the animal was posted by American winger Brek Shea on his Instagram account.

Describing the photograph, Shea wrote: "Locker room banter gone wild!!! #SAW"

Commenting on the photo-sharing website, the girlfriend of another Stoke player, Heather Weir, wrote: "Totally love my boyfriend coming home to tell me a pigs head was getting passed round the changing rooms lol!"

Kenwyne Jones is reportedly a Rastafarian, a religion which does not allow the eating of pork.

In a string of posts on Twitter, the striker's girlfriend Kissa Abdullah criticised the alleged prank.

She wrote: "Where I come from that's not anywhere close 2 funny! Esp not knowing religious beliefs.

"It just takes a minute to be sensitive to someone's beliefs no one says u can't have a sense of humour but let it be a joke! This wasn't!"

Only does things like this happen in football, what's happened to the game?

You know what I meant, do you see this happening in Rugby, Cricket etc

Yes, Cricket's had it's share of problems but I don't see people going beyond as what happened above. This always seems to happen in football, if not players, coaching staff, it's the fans! It's sick :(
