Tony Pulis has been sacked from his job as manager of Stoke City.

I don't think he'll be long out of a job.

I heard on the radio earlier that he had resigned, they mentioned Mark Hughes and someone else being in the frame. It's a strange one, they could do with finding someone who can keep the hoofball/long throws. They'll go down if they pass the ball, really, as a side they're not that good. Very good using the system Pulis used! Though I would now say they'll be in the bottom three.

Mark Hughes would be a certainty to be relegated. He's been very disappointing since his earlier appointments.

Have to say I'm not too surprised. A lot of Stoke City supporters have grown sick and tired of Pulis' style of play, and want to see their team "have a go" a bit more. He's done a great job for them and to some degree Stoke have been spoilt the past few years. Could see this backfiring on them and them fighting the drop next season.

I'd be surprised if Tony Pulis didnt get a job elsewhere. His style isn't pretty but particularly at football league level it proved effective

I expect him to return to the Championship, which no doubt a few seasons later, he will be back in the premiership. Weymouth's summed it up nicely, I don't see Stoke managing to play on the floor. Not successfully :/

Crikey, imagine if Roberto Martinez went to Stoke and they started playing nice football!

No, I can't either

I think it would be concerning if Mark Hughes went and signed all United's cast offs again. He might be successful if he stayed with a club, though he needs to find a middle table side. He doesn't do well higher or lower, he cannot get his first team cards right.

Martinez isn't a magician, so your right mate. Hehe

Speaking of Roberto Martinez, is it just me, or is he one the most overrated managers going at the minute? Yeah he has Wigan playing nice football but under him their defence has always been awful. Under Paul jewell and Steve Bruce Wigan were a midtable side. Every season under Martinez they've been fighting the drop yet he gets built up to be a great manager? With the side Wigan have got I think it's criminal they're going down, and another manager might have them doing a lot better

Tony Pulis is very overrated himself, as are a couple of other managers in the Premiership.

Stoke City will adapt, bottom end runners though.
