Bayern who?

A well deserved 1-1 draw in the red inflatable dinghy means that Gladbach's record against the leather-trousered ones over the last 10 matches is:

Won 4, Drawn 3, Lost 3, For 15, Against 13

Bayern are not as good as people think!

I've been saying this for ages, along with comments about the German national team - good but overrated.

It's only a matter of time before people realise it, along with adding PSG to the mix.

Splendid work Gladbach. It's just a shame that BVB fielded a weakened team against Schalke before their Europa League match with Liverpool - if they'd won that the title would still have been up for grabs.

As a side note, I'm also very glad your B team failed to make the Regionalliga play-offs!

Oh dear, more discarded lederhosen on the streets of Munich last night...

Schadenfreude is a wonderful thing!

Aww what a pity! I texted my Bayern-supporting mate straight away to express my "sympathy". Still waiting for an answer ;)

The nauseating commentator and the Bayern players and pundits who lined up to bleat about the ref and Atletico's "destructive" tactics just made it sweeter. Arrogant, sore losers.

I thought the ref had a decent game. Not afraid to give penalties. Kept control in difficult circumstances. Those who criticise have never done it.

To be fair to Bayern, I thought the foul for Atletico's penalty was outside the box. But in the end, it didn't affect the outcome anyway. That aside, he had a good game and kept it flowing nicely. Interesting that the commentator declined to try to pronounce his name and just called him "the Turkish referee" instead.

I wasn't that impressed by Atletico, they struggled to keep possession and constantly put themselves under pressure. I've seen them play better. As for Bayern, you wonder if their tactic of buying the best players from their Bundesliga competitors and thus weakening them is robbing them of the sharpness they need for the Champions League. They performed better in the CL when they were being given a real run for their money in the BL.
