The happy thread

Being a Notts site, this place is full of doom and gloom. And that's fine - we all need to sound off. But we need a counterbalance too.

So sod Notts, post something that makes you happy.

Here's some babies laughing.

I prefer pineapples and gospel music on mute, that makes me very happy.

When all else fails, Weird Al will do.

Has to be this. I mean, I still can't quite get my head round it. Quite possibly the biggest sports story in the world. There will be a motion picture for this at some point and it will be talked about for decades to come.

That said there have been quite a few amazing football fairytale stories in the last 10 years that can't help but restore your faith in football. In 2007, Iraq won the Asian Cup against all odds, bringing joy to a nation torn apart by war; in 2011, Japan unexpectedly won the Women's World Cup, just a few months after a devastating tsunami and nuclear disaster, and then you have Zambia's 2012 Africa Cup of Nations win - they were one of the least-ranked sides of the competition, about as likely to win as Greece and Denmark were in 2004 and 1992 respectively, and the tournament took place 19 years after what was considered the best Zambian side of all time died in a plane crash in Libreville, Gabon - where the 2012 final took place. I mean, wow.

Forest still don't have a manager And 'allegedly' the bloke trying to buy them is in trouble for match fixing in Greece! So I think it should be a very happy season all round for those over the Trent [emoji23]
