Basically saying 4 "big" loan players not adequately replaced? I recall previous recollections by Derry that Cassidy was a major loss! Early signs of dementia maybe....

Interesting comments on wages in L2, Cambridge players on 500 to 1250 per week

I've heard him speak of things like this on the station before in the past, he's spoken of interferences and so on - which surprised me because at first he never spoke of anything like this prior and I would listen every time he was on.

Cassidy held the ball well, he wasn't great but I could see his use. Ismail - again vastly overrated by some, I recall people telling me how useless he was and the next minute he was a lower league Madonna but both players contributed to the better half of the season. Ismail was a good player on his day, which I thought we should have tried to hang onto him but obviously for one reason or another we didn't.

If you rely this much on loan players, you know the squad doesn't have much depth.

It's one thing Notts County always seems to get wrong, loan players should supplement the existing squad and nothing more.

@notts-joe First time I have heard Cassidy described as a "lower league Madonna"... he seemed always on "holiday", was never "in the groove", offered little hope in "like a prayer", but always relied upon "Ray of Light" :D

or perhaps you meant "the Hand of God"
