Well here I am in Noja on the northern coast of Spain. We had a lovely calm crossing on the ferry, it was 24 hours on board so plenty of time to explore the boat. Our cabin was right at the front with a window that looked out over the bow of the boat. Son and family were a few doors down.

The boat was lovely with plenty of bars, a restaurant and even a small pool!

After disembarking at Bilbao we set off to Noja which was about 45 minutes drive. The campsite is massive with a couple of swimming pools, bar, restaurant and adjacent to a beautiful beach. We quickly set up camp with our motorhome and went off to find son and family who have the luxury of a 6 berth static.

Son and I went shopping for supplies to last us a couple of days and came back with lots of wine and beer but not much else! So got sent back by the women for some food too.

We decided to have a BBQ, after starting it going muggins here was in charge and the heavens opened with a torrential downpour and thunderstorm. Luckily i managed to put the big sun umbrella over the BBQ and stood under that to keep dry much to the amusement of the family in the static.

We had a nice meal and put the kids to bed and enjoyed a board game before retiring back to our van for the night.

Still cloudy this morning and more rain forecast. :-(

To be continued.........

It's good to see your making the most of it, I'm sure the sun will come out. Just remember it's him above (this post) fault with the missing sun, he probably booked it for somewhere else and thought he did it properly. #muppet

Enjoy it Tony :)

Still raining here but making the most of it. We did a 4 mile walk yesterday round the nature reserve and saw some spoonbills, for those not into bird watching they are long legged white wading birds that have a long beak with a spoon shape at the end. Very rare in England I have seen them in France before but this was a good close up view.

We cooked ourselves a lovely paella last night with local seafood and washed it down with a few glasses of local wine

The weather is supposed to improve tomorrow so fingers crossed, otherwise super ram will be in trouble.

I've just been out to the garden and done my sun dance so tomorrow should be better.

Glad you're making the most of it. It's been rather cool, at times, here though no rain.

The sun dance worked, thanks Super Ram, it's been glorious today, we spent it on the beach which is a very short walk from our pitch.

I even went in the sea and did some snorkelling but Mrs. Hateley won't let me go too far out she's paranoid I'll get swept away!

Glad the weather's improved for you Tony. I think we've got your poor weather now-It's wet, miserable and not very warm.

Well I'm still here, the weather did improve considerably, yesterday was an absolute scorcher the sand on the beach burnt my feet it was so hot. Today has gone downhill again and it's been raining most of the day.

Sorry I've not been on here, I'll make up for it when we are back next weekend.

Don't be silly, it's just nice to hear from you! Don't let this stop you from putting in extra home work tho ;) LOL

I quite like when you get a bit of different weather myself, makes you reevaluate things (often end up doing something we wouldn't have done otherwise also). It sounds like your having fun regardless, so that's all that counts.

Keep having fun! :D

The weather here is changeable to say the least. I read somewhere that  the met office say wet summers will be the norm for awhile due to natural changes in weather patterns whatever that means.I think I'll stick with the Pine cone for my forecasts.

You've heard of the Butterfly Effect right? Well it's not Global Warming, It's actually the Super Ram effect.

Rain dance, more like paddy dance. No wonder it's been hit or miss around here! whaha haha
