Full story from the OS here:

Notts County have confirmed that they will be travelling to Finland as part of their pre-season preparations next month, ahead of the start of the 2013.14 campaign...

The Magpies will play three games during an intense 10-day tour, including matches against Palloseura Kemi Kings, Tervarit Dream Team and a fixture against Finnish top-flight and 2012.13 Europa League side JJK.

First team coach Andy Watson visited the sport complex last month and told the Official Site how impressed he was with the accommodation.

He said: “The pitches and the facilities are good and it will give us a good base for the tour. It will be an ideal place for the lads to train with a gymnasium on site, beach nearby and places where we can do cross country runs to get that fitness up.

“The three games that we have arranged will be tough. The season has already started over there, so they will be match fit. It will be a good test to see where we are with our own match fitness and sharpness.

“Kemi is a lovely, small town. I’m sure if any Notts supporters were looking to make the journey across and support the lads at the games, then they will be made to feel most welcome.â€

It's pretty cool, though I don't see many of our fans going. From what I can make out, especially from what's been said to me. It's expensive, so the one's who do travel will no doubt have a great experience. If I had the money and a passport, I would defiantly try.

With our squad, plus the closeness, it might have been interesting to play French clubs.

Not knocking this, it's great news. I hope we get some experience from the friendlies :)

sounds great, but as Notts Joe said we wouldn't be able to go. I look forward to any friendly games at meadow lane though.
