The announcement of Cardiff parting company with their manager

http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/live-updates-cardiff-city-boss-11975415

Just proves the fact that throwing money at a football club, if not spent wisely, can result in disaster.

Michael Johnson and **** Bate are on Cardiff's backroom staff.

For Notts, I mentioned on another thread about the importance of the scouting network... I often wonder if it was an unsung scouting hero that spotted Grealish and McGregor. Is that scout still at Notts? @erindoors

Stan Collymore's tweet:

Man City. 52 scouts worldwide. Villa. 5. And 4 are analysts. Infrastructure. Infrastructure. Infrastructure.

I heard both players was recommend to us, no idea how true this is but when I spoke to Jack's father he told me various ins and outs.

I'm slightly curious how much, if any of Burton's success comes from any of the possible allegations against their prior manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. If there is any connection it would spoil their fairytale story but I would love to see Notts on the front step of finding and tracking promising youngsters.

Michael Johnson seems to move around a fair bit but I do think its a shame that he isn't here mind.

With Roberto Di Matteo leaving, the next batch of potential #AVFC managers have just left for Birmingham New Street... :D

Money not spent wisely , we don't have to look far , just across the river is an example of investment not getting you where you want to be , the past 2 owners have spent big on infrastructure , academy , players ect , but this is football nothing is guaranteed , but anything is possible , if you get that lol

@Who r ya?? You Pies!! "money not spent wisely"..can also be applied to Raymundo...or more precisely to his managers paying their strikers, ...Idle, Haynes, Burgess, Enoch... strikers who were probably on hefty wages but never delivered

Very true , certain amount of risk in any signing for sure @Piethagoram , in our neighbours case was thinking more of the year on year loss financially with little or no forward progress made , but yeah point taken pal

It was Chris K wanted them in having seen them. As had his assistant and Matt A

All the flack CK had and he got us two gems in - poor guy tried but wasn't suitable at the time for management.
