  1. All he did was state what had happened. If he wasn't transparent, would there not have been rumours/complaints of secrecy?
  2. Do you listen to all the rumours and take them as gospel?
  3. no where in that does it state" he refused to play" because he never did. Chipperfield asked SA if it was true and he said no. Chipperfield later tweeted that if his questioning suggested that JF had said that, then he was sorry it was misleading because he did not. Look at the tweets.
  4. and why do you use quote marks around "supporters fault?" its not a quote, Ray never said that!
  5. Just so you know, the seller does not sign an NDA, the person seeking to buy does. Again, very poorly reported by the NEP. You should all be aware that these stories coming out about valuations, NDAs, and all the rest are just rumours. No one has approached either me or Ray for any validation, and neither of us have spread this gossip. Also.... doesn't anyone find it a bit odd that if an NDA has been signed, details are out there?............
  6. I think you're determined to keep your own views no matter what is said. I could pick up on so much of what you've said and taken out of context but it'd be construed as arguing, rather than providing facts to you, which seems pointless. intended for SDA
  7. I'm not "trying to suggest" anything. I stated something. Personal cash injections into the club (e.g. to buy a proven striker) are neither desirable, nor necessarily sustainable, granted, but sometimes it's been the case that speculation has been necessary, for a variety of reasons. Ideally, we wouldn't have to and that's the aim. That doesn't affect the club, as it's not a loan. And it's fine to quote how comparatively good or bad a wage spend was at any given time, but there plenty of other variable in there, too. No, we didn't sack SD, or any other manager in a "last ditch attempt" but, without going into detail (as it's not appropriate,) when the longer term picture is not going to be sustained by their methods, then an area of change is needed. And yes, I agree, timings could have been better not just in that case. You're clearly against "hiring a novice" as you call it. Others are, too. We recognised how this would be received but we can't JUST take account of fears, no matter how loudly they are shouted. The board recognised the pros and cons of each applicant and were unanimous in the decision. But it was not taken lightly. No manager comes to a club with every single box ticked, and even if they did, they could still ultimately "fail." However, if people want to know more detail, come to the Meet the Manager. There's ample time to discuss things individually there, (not just with the Manager)as well as the more formal session. If you can't make it, meet us another time in person or email directly, or phone us perhaps?
  8. Well, I understand what you're thinking, and I do understand that NP used exaggeration...or an extreme to put his point across, if you like. I thought you would understand that my point was that dramatising any fact distorts perception. Perhaps if I had used an emoticon of pulling my hair out rather than a measured response it may have helped.... We don't change philosophies, though. There is still a belief that a success is fostered through club loyalty, believe it of not. We like to enable people develop in their roles. We put store in our Academy.. and staff who perform well in any area are encouraged to stay with us Attacking football is important and we all enjoy it but it has to be understood that its not at any cost. So sometimes there has to be change and a going back to basics and working on defensive structures has to happen. That's not about changing philosophies at all, that's about adjustments being made to achieve our goals. The aim of sustainability has never altered. Why would it? Failing to achieve that harms everyone. Its also why Salary Cost Management Protocol was put it place.
  9. Hi Northantspie. We neither change managers every 3 months, nor do we change tack with our aims. Sometimes, circumstances take things off course and sometimes we simply get it wrong. We have concentrated on improving our Academy and the route through for youngsters for a few years now, recently enabling us to push advancement to meet our aims by introducing the u21's in the Final 3rd Development League. Its important for our club and our local community. Jamie's working well the the club and has implemented more structure and discipline on that side. Young players are getting their chances. Its all an evolution. Your prediction was pants ;-) A good 2-0 win. On the road. No big gaps between our strikers and the midfield. Partnerships between players developing. And,despite the negativity on social media, which would have some believe there's some mass revolt out there, the supporters were absolutely great today. They backed their lads, cheered them on, sang their hearts out. To anyone on here who was able to attend, thanks for that support, it really is appreciated. COYP
  10. Notts Joe, thanks to your son! That was interesting and well written. Suggestions as to how we can improve the experience for our younger supporters are always welcome. If any of you have children or grandchildren with ideas, I'd love to hear them Thanks COYP
  11. Because not everyone knows my identity, Liampie. And sadly, I do have to point out that it's sexist to define me as someones wife. My role is as a Director, investor and shareholder. I did not take it "the wrong way" - it was said, unthinkingly, the wrong way.
  12. the point being, Mrs Trew should not be described as "the chairman's wife" any more than Mr Trew should be described as "a Director's husband."
  13. point of order. Mrs Trew is a Director, not the "Chairman's wife"
  14. Stanley's a very important player for us and he'll want to be back as soon as possible. Sometimes, you just can't be more specific about how long an injury will take.. it's not being evasive, it's just dependent on so many variables. And it was a terrible tackle that took him out. I wanted a red card. (especially as it was on Stan!) Hope you're all well and enjoying your advent chocolate :-)

I wouldn't edit it. It'd lose something. I have visions of it being read out, Churchillian style as people pass through the turnstiles! A sort of warhorse let's be aving you ;-)

Should make it the fans pre match team talk! ;-)
  17. I can't relate to the booing at all. It makes me ashamed. It's so unproductive and destructive.

That makes me quite weepy. I really love it! Thank you for sharing it with us all :-)
