How Dicko got a 7 is unbelievable, terrible deliveries for the most part and just gets beat by everyone, at least audel makes good tackles

I'd like to see views of folks here in terms of rating, no fear of upsetting people. It's hardly the Euro Vision song contest.

From FreeMuzzy with acknowledgment to MAD board....

Collin - 5.5 - Blameless for all of the goals but just doesn't inspire any confidence. Poor kicking and terrible on crosses; he is definitely no upgrade on Loach.

Laing - 6 - Only defender capable of bringing the ball out. Ok defensively but let down by senior team-mates.
Duffy - 5 - Absolutely calamitous misjudgement for the third goal. Simply isn't the defensive leader we needed - needs two big lads either side to do his work for him.
Hollis - 5.5 - Disappointing to hear the ironic cheers when he was subbed. Didn't have the best game but definitely no worse than others who stayed on.

Tootle - 5 - Horrendous error for the penalty.
Rodman - 5 - Mr Anonymous gets an extra point for the goal, which was solely down to a deflection. Not sure what he has on Sheridan but how he starts and finishes every game is beyond me.
Aborah - 5.5 - Didn't take his chance. One decent shot but didn't offer enough protection defensively and no real impact in possession.
Milsom - 5 - Like Rodman, it's hard to see what he brings to the table either defensively or going forward.
Dickinson - 3 - A shambles of a performance. Distribution absolutely abysmal which includes consistently wasting set pieces. Then has the nerve to repeatedly blame others. Getting in on reputation - he hasn't had one really good game since he joined.

Stead - 6 - No service but laid on the one on one for Forte and hit a cracking strike that was headed off the line. We should know by now he isn't an out and out targetman so the tactic to go direct was doomed to fail. Crazy decision to sub him given his current form.
Forte - 6 - Real threat first half but should've scored 1 on 1. Not involved so much when moved to left wing.

Oliver - 6 - Did his job well but generally no-one close enough to him.
Collins - 5 - Bottled 50-50 with keeper which could've led to goal or red card. Can't recall anything else.
Richards - 7 - By far the best midfielder we had (admittedly not saying much). Very calm on the ball and burst into the box could've brought a goal on another day. Has to start Tuesday.

It's no doubt that it was the midfield where we lost the game - all five (including wing backs) were very below par. For all the talk about being up for the battle, Mansfield outfought us. Again.

Despite having an ok start to the season, we are still carrying a lot of passengers. Collin, Dickinson, Rodman, Milsom and to a lesser extent Duffy have all been consistently poor. Unless Sheridan is prepared to drop any of his signings, it's hard to see us troubling the top 7. Selection on Tuesday will tell us a lot.

I'm not sure how many of our players could gain fives if the performance wasn't up to scratch and from people I have spoken to via FB, it would seem that the majority would fall well short of 4's.

I think we just lack fight when it comes to these games, the players should always want to win regardless.

We get bullied too easily and that has been the case for a few years now. Until we can hold our own in the physical department we will always struggle in these games and against certain teams and it all starts with our midfield and defence which is a bit powder puff to be honest. We're desperate for a Neil Bishop and Ricky Ravenhill combination in midfield and a Short/Yates central defence style partnership, players that were solid week in, week out and well up for any physical challenge.
