Something just occured to me. This will sound quite odd but bear with me!

Have you noticed how ironic some clubs shirt sponsors have become over the years?

Lets look at a couple of examples:

post-49-0-04053200-1372547509.jpg

Notts County's 2008-09 home shirt was sponsored by Forward Together Pest Control. FORWARD TOGETHER - at a team when the club was on a seemingly never ending slide downhill into non-league oblivian before the intervention of Munto Finance (whoever they actually were!)

post-49-0-07502900-1372547596.jpg

Example 2: Portsmouth's shirts for the past few years now have been sponsored by Jobsite; at a time when the club have been making large numbers of staff redundent!

And another example is Hearts. I cant upload a photo due to the file size being too big (?) but their shirts are sponsored by wonga.com, at a time when the club are struggling to pay players and staff on time :rollonfloorlaughing:

I'm sure there are other examples out there but these are just a few I've found lately. I find it all kinda amusing myself, or is it more a sign that its time for me to go to bed?

An obvious one would be;

arsenal-adidas-2010-11-arsenal-home-nike             Obviously due to the connection, though it's on par with the above.

^^ Similar as above, Cardiff City.

Not quite like yours but on par ;)

There's a lot of funny ones out there. Remember when Newcastle were sponsored by Northern Rock? Relegated while wearing the name of a bank that had to be bailed out by the governent!

One of my favourite ones is Livingston in Scotland. They were sponsored by "Intelligent Finance", and sure enough they went into administration at the end of that season :rollonfloorlaughing:

Nice one, Weymouth. I wish I could think of a witty response but my bed is calling me.

Not quite the same but I was talking to a friend, they mentioned a German team. FC Nurnberg, they had a sponsor supposedly called 'Mister*Lady'.

Here are some more:

Scarborough, and Spannish club Getafe were sponsored by Black Death Vodka and Burger King. Nothing says elite professional sportsman more than a fast food outlet and a strong alcoholic beverage

Also this effort from AC Milan (one which the Italian Magpies might like!):

To be fair to them, this could be an appropriate sponsor for quite a few clubs ;)

But this next one is one of the very best. I will say that this one is pretty rude

Greek side Voukefela are sponsored by Soul. Nothing wrong there eh? That is until you find that that Soul is actually the name of a local brothel! :rollonfloorlaughing:
