Magpies,

Congrats on the win today - written up some thoughts on the game: http://www.TheFootbalLab.co.uk/2017/notts-county-2-1-crawley-four-things-we-learnt/

Team deserves credit for their performance today, sensed the players were working for one another. Had setbacks like the sending off of Thompson, who I'd have said was your best player at that point, and their equalizer out of nowhere, yet performance level didn't drop.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Can't argue with much of that, a very fair and balanced report.

Thanks for sharing.

The Chelsea fan who said he was coming up didn't make the game, it would have been interesting to see his thoughts but I read the above report via social media. Quite balanced, personally I felt the first half Notts was very disconnected at the back. Defensively we was good both halfs, however Crawley looked very capable of scoring within the first 45 minutes. Notts had gotten some wind about them after causing the panic clearance and then about five minutes later we hit the post.

From them on it looked like the players believed we could score and it made us play with a little bit of confidence.

The referee wasn't awful but he made some very poor decisions. He always seemed to favour Crawley quite noticeably, as he didn't even card one of their players for intentionally stamping on a Notts player who was down injured.

If the sliding challenge wasn't a card, the stamping should have seen something.

That was just one single event, he missed about five other things - including a choke hold and a sickening two footed challenge.

Its good to see that the club is finding that belief again and by all accounts it seems that the efforts made went along way towards claiming our first victory since October.
