47 Years ago tonight I was enjoying the first night of a weeks holiday in Blackpool with 4 of my mates and by this time of night was slightly inebriated along with the majority of fellow holidaymakers.Nothing unusual there, except we all had one very good reason to be celebrating.Yes,England had  just won the world cup .I don't think there are many members old enough to have shared the experience(Tony will struggle with his memory :rollonfloorlaughing: )but just in case there are-What do you remember?

I haven't heard this mentioned anywhere else, no wonder that English football is on the fringe compared to others. It's something they should mention, not go on about like our media does but bring awareness. Please don't share any of your tales from Blackpool here - although did you tell me you was having your hair cut when England was playing on T.V? I can't remember completely.

Wished I had seen it, I'm not a fan of the 2000's. The football isn't all that bad but I would love to live in a period before 1970. :D

I was born a few years after we had won the world cup, so no recollection or memory of the game itself. I wonder if England will ever get there act together and mount a serious challenge for it again?
