Ratings Stevanage v Notts

Recommended Posts

Fitzsimons 4.5 One early mistake when failing to get to the cross but he does give the defence confidence as someone willing to take responsibility

Tootle 5.5 Always looking to get into crossing positions

Dicko 5 Caught out of position once but Fitzsimons saved... Great improvement under Nolan, keeping Jones on the bench

Duffy 5 Nothing spectacular

Brisley 6 Unlucky with his clearing header for Boro's goal.

Hawkridge 5.5 Good work rate but found it difficult at times to work attacking positions. What musnt be overlooked is his defensive positioning which helped Notts gain a foothold in the second half

Yates 6.5 One moment in the 2nd half stood out as he stood firm to win and lay off the ball. Belies his age

Hewitt 7 Cool head to finish rather than blasting over, which maybe harshly I expected! His energy and ground covered very worthy. I still think his best position may still be at Centre Half

Grant 6.5 Always looking likely to score but its his "assists" that catch the eye too. He does put in some quality passes rather than hit and hope

Stead 6 Took the brunt of the challenges without Shola being there to share.

Alessandra 4 Needs to contribute so much more

Hoping to see perhaps a couple more player ratings, though Stead and Grant both sided like they drove us forward.
