First game of the season and only tomorrow!!

What do you think the attendance will be?

Someone asked me on Facebook, I'm not sure about away games but 2.5 would be nice. Notts have said we've sold over 800 tickets, so hopefully more will pay on the day. I just hope this business about them being slow to get fans in isn't true, we don't need this at the start of the season!

I think it will be a good game, I can firmly see Notts winning and I really hope we do. It would be great to get the season off with a good run and build this optimism.

Despite what that football magazine said, I am also confident that my league prediction can come true, I have full faith in Notts and Chris.

Let us know your thoughts, share below. :)

Glad to see so many tickets having been sold for this fixture. Very much hope that we will do Notts proud in terms of noise come Friday evening!

As for the score, around a 0-0/1-0 win to Notts, something along these lines for me.

Let's see how they take to the pressure of the first game!

You pies!

i see us taking just under 2k, around 1,700 maybe.

the game should be very lively, i hope it does not turn into one of those slow paced matches but i think we have a good chance of winning by 2 goals. 2-0 from me! i hope haynes and arquin combined well, i see them doing very well against sheffield united!!

Attendance around 2,000?

We might sneak around 2,200 but I really wouldn't be able to guess. If we get off to a good start, I can more coming to home games and we could do with it. I have not got my ticket yet, so I'll see in the morning if I drive up or not. I might just tune into the radio, although I would not want to miss it. I see the game  winnable, it's for Notts to prove that they want it but it could go either way.

I will say 1-0 to Notts. Arquin to score :)

We've only been allocated 1,017 tickets lads so sadly it wont be quite that many, but fingers crossed we'll sell out and make plenty of noise!

As for the match itself, I'm already fairly nervous. I know its only the first game but I really dont like Sheffield United, and losing to them would hurt. That's not to say I'm not optomistic of us nicking a result up there. Their big problem last season was like us - goals. They dont appear to have signed a proven striker over the summer. It really depends on the starting xi how we play I guess. I can see it ending 0-0 or 1-0, maybe 1-1. I dont think it'll be a game full of goals, but fingers crossed it'll be a good one and Notts come back with something in the bag.

We'll be setting off at half 11 tommorow. If we win I'll be overjoyed. If we draw I'll be fairly happy. If we lose, it'll be one very long 259 mile trip home!

COME ON YOU PIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

I hope we do well tomorrow for the first game of the season to kick off a good start.

Its a shame its away, but Joe will be there non the less.

Hoping for a win but a draw will be better than losing. I would see this as an average game for us.

Pretty low allocation? I don't know, I'll have to revise.

I'm excited! I wonder how many times I've said this now, although I really should get some sleep. I'm sneaking in a few final touches to areas whilst it's quiet, I have to push some predictions and tables tomorrow.

I still firmly believe we could win by 2-1.

Hopefully I can get a good connection to drop by during and after the game, I might try and hand out some of last seasons flyers while I'm at it. COYP!!

Good luck to the lads, I'm back from my mini break and I will be watching Sky Sports at home and having a drink of Ruddles COUNTY! @super_ram will know that ale, I couldn't think of a better name of beer to drink.

I am going for a 1-1 draw, I am really excited but nervous at the same time. Safe travels everyone and I hope it's a really good game.

Welcome home,Tony.I hope you enjoyed your little jaunt and have come refreshed and ready for the new season.

They used to serve Ruddles COUNTY at the Cherry Tree in Ingoldmells but they didn't have it last year-boo.

I see you're prediction is the same as mine.

Half time losing 1-0 the sending off after 14 mins has obviously changed the game and Notts have been under the cosh for much of the game but I feel if we can keep the score down to 1-0 there is a chance to get something out of this game.

Come on Notts dig deep.

Losing 2-1 dodgy free kick but bad defending

Final score Sheff Utd 2 Notts 1

In fairness it could have been more as Notts were feeling the pressure towards the end and Sheff Utd were playing some good stuff against our ten men. I felt things could have been so different if it hadn't been for Mr. Liddle's reckless challenge I think maybe over enthusiasm was to blame on his part. He's been a great player , not missing a minute last season so we'll excuse him this once.

It's a long season and there were positives to be taken from the game, Notts battled to the end and have definitely got that "never say die" attitude.

Bart a bit to blame for 2nd goal? Was the sending off deserved? Disappointing but a long way to go yet.

I wouldn't pass any blame on Liddle. (I'm not saying anyone has here)

He's saved us more times than he has made a mistake, I call him "County's Mr Reliable" and I would have still felt proud to wear my Liddle t-shirt. This might seemed biased but some refs would have given a yellow, some might have probably told him to calm down but this ref was so eager with his cards and very keen to keep them away from Sheffield United players.

Who quite frankly spent the majority of the game falling over, I can't even say they 'dived' because that would be an indication of a level of skill and they were just poor in this term.

We played okay, defending was weak but when do Notts mark or get tight? The only player who was pushing to win the ball consistently was Fotheringham.

None the less I am proud of the lads, I think they did okay and I hope Tempest grows with confidence because he didn't seem himself. I had some very annoying people putting hands near my face, banging the back of my seat and shouting. If I made a comment - they'd argue and say the opposite but this person constantly moaned about the majority of players on the field. Funny, I bet they wouldn;t tell Danny Haynes to his face to ***k off back to Charlton or tell Mark Fotheringham he's a useless *cottsh ba***rd. The language some of our fans use is shocking! I don't mind swearing - It's just in the context and how it's used.

I always get 'em near me!!

There is no way I would blame Bart for the second goal, Showumni and a defender (Leacock?) got into a mix up leaving their defender unmarked to head the goal.

In my opinion by the letter of the law it was a sending off offence but some refs might have overlooked it as over enthusiasm in the first 15 minutes of the first game of the season.

I am disappointed by the result but not downhearted as you say a long, long way to go.

Joe - Sorry to hear you had a bad night it sounds like you were sat with some right

Morons and unfortunately we do have some at our club. This is why I don't like going to away matches, once you are say with someone like that you can't get away. At home I know where I am sitting and I know the majority around me are decent folk who are there to enjoy the match and support the team.

Just me overreacting and allowing certain things to get to me.

Highlights to get the ball rolling!

I forgot to say, I was very impressed with Enoch when he came on and really pleased for him when he scored, it was a well taken goal, hopefully the first of many more to come.
